I have been trained and tested as a qualified artisan for diesel mechanics fitter. I was working as a maintenance fitter at transnet rail engineering for the period of 2years.I was working as a team work and helping each other always. I was working day shift and night shift also call out.
Pros: While we working always obeying the rules. Always be minded of safety. Wear full protective personal equipment

Business networking is what is shapes my career. I enjoy hearing what HR challenges other sectors of businesses face, and how they overcome them. I have learnt and now have a new view of the Human Resources partner's role. The most challenging aspect of my role, is the process of training needs analysis and drawing up of the training plans.

Learning towards success
In the mornings at 7h00, we held a production meeting and at 8h00 there is a operational meeting. where we discuss the production and operational hiccups. I am having a good relationships with co-workers because we always discuss every matter that arises and solve it. I have learned that if there is a problem investigate it and get all the facts before pointing any fingers. I enjoy investigating and solving problems.

It is a great company to work for. It has friendly management that is focused on the success of the company. However, the company is not good in the development of its employees.

Great experience
To work at Transnet its a great experience because I learn to communicate with a lot of people during my shift eg :manager, supervisors, machine drivers and department of planning by communicate with all them my job runs smooth and I meet target very easily, challenges that I face is to have breakdown with the machines that I'm running with because i can't meet my target

I am a well-balanced and hardworking person. I am determined, intelligent and responsible and am a team player. I am known as a trustworthy and reliable person and I am positive in everything I do. I have very high expectations and morals in life and I enjoy motivating people around me to the best of their abilities. I have gained experience you will never imágenes
I was part of Transnet school of engineering since 2012, they took me to Northlink college to do N2 before I trade test, during my training , I was part of building trains start from scratch. I can welding various metal components including pipes works and stainless-steel
Pros: I become a Artisan welder then help the other students
Cons: Good company to be, lot of challenges and there room for improvement

Excellent Learning
Typical day will mostly begin with attending a teleconference meeting where previous day performance are discussed and whatever issues were there. i have a good relationship with my colleagues, its not perfect but it is good there is huge respect among each other which i value. i have learnt so much about railway operations as it was a completely new environment for me. i enjoy the people i work with and the management that always inspire us to grow and the ample opportunities we are given to study and further our development individually. its a huge company and sometimes one may be overwhelmed with things to do.
Pros: great opportunity for promotion
Cons: there is always that possibility of moving from one are to another
