An excellent organization to work for
A very well balanced organization to work at. Acquired a vast degree of skills an expertise in customer care/ freight/logistics/import/export etc. I have supervised personnel and ensured customer demand is met in keeping with company policies and protocols in a safe and consistent manner. Where deviation management was necessary, the process had to be followed and implemented.

Transnet is a very massive 6 group of companies and it is the backbone of south African economy through logistics and transportation services. it employs more than 60 000 employees and it has helped small companies to grow by giving then contracts to provider vast number of services. it is easy to move within Transnet group of companies and learn new things from this companies.

Excellent experience gain
It grows you, I even acted as an supervisor while my supervisor was on leave. We work 8 hours, unless it's over time. I have learned a lot, concerning fault finding, studying of schematics. What I have enjoyed the most on the field it is to trace faults. The most challenging aspects for the job it is not to make a mistake becouse electricity damages or kill. safety first.

Broadern my horison , add value to your company
Transnet is a good company currently in the financial downturn not good opportunities , it helped me grow into the manager I am today. I was exposed to lean six sigma , Quality , Customer service and Logistics. with the small business I had opportunity to work in all departments in the last 10 years .

I have learned quite alot and gained experience in the company
Transnet is a company that upholds policies and principals, its a com[pany that acknowledges its workers, we have our own working stations,were you enjoy your working space and have all the recources we need to make sure that we deliver our duties, the is no excuse for not been productive, we do attend trainings and are able to participate and show case ones skills or talents.
Pros: transnet gives you the platform to grow.
Cons: the is not alot of interaction with the outside world.

Excellent communicator, exceptional leader and team member
A typical workday in my company includes a warm sweet cup of hot chocolate to start my day with my team. It includes a few jokes and random rambling about the previous day. My day includes dealing with customer queries, if there are none, I call my clients just to touch base. Thereafter I do any work that requires me to strategize, think and plan as 9am till 12 are my most productive hours for creative thinking and planning. I attend meetings with cross functional teams after lunch to ensure that all is going according to schedule for the day to meet my customers needs and thereafter I check emails again for queries to ensure I end my day having cleared most of my to do list. The most enjoyable part of my job is dealing with clients and internal cross functional teams. The challenging aspects of my job is that most problems faced by my customers requires a team effort, therefore, it becomes a challenge as I have to ensure that I keep the other teams motivated to ensure the client needs are met.
Pros: That I will get to go back to do what I am MOST PASSIONATE about which is communications! I miss it and I realise that this is my first love before marketing
Cons: That I will have to rise to the challange of leaving my comfort zone as I have been with Transnet for 7 years now

I am currently studyng at varsity college,i am doing Financial Accounting
I view myself as a self-disciplined person, spiritual and having ability to demonstrate a good team and I can perform duties required and exceed my expectation, I am an individual person who is willing to learn. Wish to build on and take on available training studies, would appreciate the opportunity of being party of your company. I have a good relationship with my co-workers, I am a people person I get along well with people, I enjoy working with people. I have learn so much working in this organisation, I work with deferent suppliers I also have a good relationship with the suppliers, I have learned to be patient and be good at what I do at all time. Though work it can be stressful sometimes but I have a way of dealing with the busy schedule, I can say I love doing my job, and I excel at what I do all the time.
Pros: i believe i will grow in your company and learn new things within the organisation.
Cons: i dont have a problem working long hours as long as my work is done and finished at the end of the day
