helping everyday customers , working through everyday challenges , making sure everyday's work gets done and at the best of my ability .relationship with my co-workers is great getting along and working together,i have learnt everything needed and more to improve my exprience so much that im able to work in any position in my work place.most challenging aspects is making sure every customer is happy because when they are happy it means they will return .

Exellent learning experience and looking for stability
I am looking for a new job as I've been working for Edson over 4 years now and I've been a casual and been earning the same salary as when I started there's no growth and also I haven't been given the opportunity to be made permanent so I am looking outside of Edson now for a job I've got a kid and this salary is not enough at all for my kid nor I I want to at least be able to provide him with stability as he is a very ill kid and there is heavy medical bills to pay please help me out

Multi tasking
I enjoy what i am doing...i like do different tipes of work like multitasking to broad my experiences.I like a challenge...I like helping customers....and i like them to be happy when the left the store....i like to be a to assist myanagers in every way if they let me.. most what is know is about to asked staff that is longer in company..and i always work as per policy

Working with lot of people with different cultures anb backround.
This is the biggest retail company with lot of employees. One need to be born and bred in Edcon if you want to grow and survive with them. You are require to work long hours during peak periods in order for you to make money.
Pros: If you work hard and learn a lot you can climb the ladder.
Cons: Mostly management works long hours.

Good work experience,perseverance,working in team
Debt collector,customer services. Helping customers to bring their overdue account up to date. Solving problems,good communication skills,good telephone skills. Working as a team to achieve the same goal. Meeting targets in time. Coming with solution to assist each other with dealing with difficult customers. Getting the result after working smart to get the result.

Excellent learning environment
It is a fast environment that is highly pressurised. It teaches one to be a self starter, solve problems and make decisions. Planning and organising skill is required and exercised regularly. What I enjoy the most is the opportunity of building and maintaining a good working relationship with different business partners. Advising them and making joint decision s that will benefit the business. What is most challenging is the continous projects that are introduced. Change management, consulting and the climate is monitored continuously.

Excellent learning curve
I'm a perfect candidate for this position due to my experience and the companies that i have worked for. i have worked in different call center. i also have a certificate NQF level 4 in business admin. i have good customer service and good communication skills.

edcon its a retail head office company ,where we process payment for retail employees ,capture their weekly store schedules, resolve the queries ,do the filling ,we capture their under banks and essure out their payslips if requested by the employee

I am at Edcon in Human Resource Department.
I am at Edcon in Human Resource Department. My duties are but not limited to: • Creation of adverts on Soft scape • Advertising internally and externally • Shortlisting of candidates and inviting them to interview • Compiling interview guides • Arranging and conducting interview • Make offers to accepted candidates • Compiling new starter packs documents for new employees • Preparing of Appointment Authorisation Forms, Letter of Appointments and Flexible Remuneration • Calculation of benefit Salaries and Total Packages • Uploading employees on my Focus System to grant them employee numbers • Conducting Reference check through MIE and Telephone • Preparing tracker for missing documents on new starters • Capturing of SDL accounts( under banking) • Updating spread sheet tracker for terminations, maternity leaves etc. • Capturing of new employee on my focus for Document Collection Campaign • Confirmation of employment • Contract for Location allowances

Great learning pportunities
Its very nice working for Edcon, managers value our opinions and appreciate our hard work. Co- workers are nice too though not everyone can be all nice to you but majority of co-workers are nice and helpful. Some days are better than other days but other days do get a little bit overwhelming but manageable. Working in Edcon I have learned to understand that I don't go to work to make friends but to get tasks done, and people are different so not everybody will be nice towards you.
Pros: Edcon take care of its employees
Cons: Groth is a little bit slow
