i have q national secretary diploma, i worked for Edcon a s secretary for 4 general managers for 9 years. i personally feel as i am a extrovert working in corporate is aajor bonus as im very flexable and easy to deal with various people.

Give opportunity to work or gain experience in different department.
Working for the current company is good because you an opportunity to work in various department. All the employees have a good relationship towards their co workers. Working with this company taught me how to handle different customers, maintaining a good and a friendly service at all times putting a customers as a first priority. Making sure that customers are happy at all times. Most challenges is the treatment as casual workers we treated differently as permanent staff to them we don't exist our views ain't taken seriously. You spend years being a casual

A nice experience
I get to meet different people,i also like to work as a team,I like servicing customers even though it not nice when I have rude customers and they Will call me names.

Good learning curve

Excellent working condition
working for Edcon has taught me a lot, from working with clients and handling customers grievances on a daily basis. Edcon is a very big company so new project comes in everyday and finance department is always affected as a results learning in this department knows no end., what i love most about my team and manager is that though the work load gets hectic at times, we always find a way together to tackle all the issues. Edcon as a whole tries its level best to put its employee first, we have sample sales every first Friday after month end,we a stuff discount in our store, we also have two bonuses every year as well as the share divided twice a year

Good learning experience
I work 5 to 8 hours a day 108 per months and I have good relationship with my co-workers. I have learned how important customer service is at our store and edcon always consider their customers more important than anything else. I enjoyed learning new things everyday and delivering a good service to customers. The most challenging thing I have learned is never argue with a customer.

A person gets to interact with different people of different cultures
One of the chalenges of working retail is,of course, the unhappy customer. In any role entailing “customer service,” you’ll find yourself regularly dealing with dissatisfied individuals, for any number of reasons. Retail etiquette requires your pleasant demeanour to remain unshaken even by the most unruly of clientele, and this can be one of the most difficult, but also most valuable, skills you’ll acquire. But never fear; even the most disgruntled customer can be appeased, and often the solution is more easily arrived at than you’d expect. The important thing to remember is to stay calm, listen carefully to the customer, and take nothing personally.

Interns if working day we work long hours sometimes no to be paid ,I have a good relationship with my co workers because we understand each other, I have learned a lot like to be accurate time keeping, paying full attention in what you doing . nothing iam enjoying much it's just job as usual
