Still needs improvement
Executing the required everyday duties is easy and well achievable. You learn a lot from not necessarily doing your duties but from merely being a part of the branch team. Only downsides to the job is its requirements for one to literally stand up straight not leaning against anything for 8 hours a day and, the everyday verbal abuse and lashouts from clients. In creating the role, the company focused mostly on the needs of the customer and not so much on that of the employee. The biggest downside however is the fact that regardless how well you execute your duties, if you are innovative and creative as I am, it will always be a fact to you that you are not making a difference.

GOOD EXPERIENCE WITHIN THE BANKING SECTOR, GOOD EXPOSURE FOR BEGINNNERS
WORK DAY COMPRISES OF A LARGE AMOUNT OF CLIENTS THAT NEEDS TO BE SERVED ACCORDING TO THEIR NEEDS, THE GENERAL CASHIER DUTIES FILING AND ATTENDING TO ENQUIRES ARE ALSO PART AND PARCEL OF THE PACKAGE

Excellent learning curve, team work and close knit colleagues
Working for Capirec bank is great in a sense that you learn a lot from colleagues, you adjust your personal life and blend it together with the company.

Friendly work environment.
Being in a customer service environment has taught me to adapt to Changes in the work environment, familiarise myself with the ever changing system applications, the importance of confidentiality with client’s information and providing timeous feedback to clients as promised. My current duties and responsibilities include requesting FICA documents to ensure compliance. Performing document verification checks , authenticate clients telephonically via XDS for fraud prevention. I’ve also assist a Central Branch department where, in addition to scrutinising documents, my duties involved approving savings accounts and activating sms updates for new banking clients. Great company to work for.

Customer service more than collections
Every morning i stated at 8am working till 7pm the latest and i enjoyed every moment . I no longer wok for the company any more as i resigned due to personal issues not work related but i had to relocate to Johannesburg that's where i am currently seeking for employment. I had a wonderful relationship with every one at my office stating from the securities, cleaners especially my co-workers. Learned that in life you must not have types of people you relate with as anyone can add value to you regardless, always being humble is the best as opportunities present them selves to you. I loved interacting with my clients they were the best ever, listening to them and placing myself in their shoes made me see life different and strive my almost best to assist them and educate them as well.

How to solve problems, basically challenges that we face with clients
My daily activities include opening savings accounts, assisting clients with their transactions and handing out personal loans to clients. We also do telemarketing ,which basically includes calling clients to invite them into the branch for new services which we have to offer, or doing follow ups based on service received in the branch.

Cons: working longer hours, unlike most banks, and no commission

Challenging environment
company policies are in place to oppress operations employees instead of creating a conducive atmosphere.there's no fair Employment equity ,where people would hold certain position based on education
Pros: Exposure to different client base,helps one polish or be effective on their communication skills
Cons: Working hours and work load don't justify the pay

Excellent learning curve
Its not nice working for capitec bank, but i learn as much as i can so i can progress myself. I work very well with my colleagues they are the ones who are the best
