Working for capitec

It is very nice to work at capitec, working with people has improved my level of patience as an individual. I enjoy most the learning activities that they load every week for us, the most challenging thing about the job is the working hours.

Pros: great opportunity for promotion
Cons: long working hours

I've learnt to be responsible for everything and follow the company policies

- A day we serve more than 100 clients we would always make sure that we give clients the best service to keep long lasting relationships with them. - I used to get along with everyone even after I resigned I still go and visit my ex colleagues, we still have a good relationship because I was always smiling, I would always make sure that everyone is having a great day and the clients as well there's one that still ask for me. We worked as team - I've learnt that at my workplace I'm not there to make friends I can't trust everyone. We come from different backgrounds and situations. - The team building we had every month was the most thing I enjoyed. - The most challenge I had was not being appreciated after you've made your job, if you made a certain target and lacked in other targets you sign a warning.

Pros: Great experience for someone who is still fresh from varsity just to get a job experience, but in terms of growth within your qualification they never replied to our applications to state the reasons why we didn't meet the requirements..
Cons: Long working hours, had to beg for your annual leave or day off.

Excellent learning curve

We work hard because a number of new clients increases daily, but with the training we received when joining the company, we manage to cope really well.

Pros: Promotions are a bit rare but it all depends on the hard work one gives.
Cons: Long working hours

All rounder

My day starts with me doing the planner for the day. Planning lunches for the consultants, planning their tasks for the day. After that I will help with the review of the previous transactions, doing card stock and managing the branch flow. I work with a very strong team and it is very easy to work them because they are all competent and always share their knowledge so that they are always on top of their game. Working at capitec bank you learn something new everyday. I enjoy the rush of the job, it's not a boring job because I do different things. The most challenging thing for me is dealing with unhappy clients and how to make sure that I solve whatever query they have and also the long hours.

Pros: High potential Service Consultant
Cons: Heavy branch flows

Its a target based job if you dont reach your targets you dnt get your quartely increase of a mere 4% those targets are how many loans you issue and hw many clients switch they dnt care how many accounts youve opened nevertheless its a good company to work for it improves your ability to be resilient grateful and patient.

Pros: interacting with people and helping clients

Good learning curve daily

I am computer literate, friendly, a team player and work well under pressure. My duties were making sure that all the branch admin is up to date and filed accordingly, the branch is running smoothly and all clients are served within the specific time, train new recruits which i enjoyed the most, working with different characters and having to make sure that they all aim to reach the same goal was interesting and challenging. I take ownership and see all challenges to completion.

Pros: resoling client queries
Cons: lack of development

In time

Best way to start your career. As a consultant you get to do a wide variety of duties. Long hours are the down side. As an employee, working under pressure is a required skill.

Pros: Salary increases
Cons: Long hours, wide variety of duties, and salary range
