Work hard and it will pay off

I am an enthusiastic, dedicated person with the ability to give effort to my tasks. I believe in the concept of being client focussed, effective communication and interpersonal skills. I can work with a wide range of people, with a sense of humour which is needed in a pressurized job. I’m willing to face and deal with any challenge that I might be faced with. My time as a student has taught me to cope under pressure, to interact effectively with other, to plan, organise and analyze situation in critical and creative ways and that inculcate the sense of discipline and control required in today’s work. It is my desire to embark more on a career not merely by finding employment.

Pros: Acting teamleader
Cons: none

Excellent Learning Curve. Oportunity to climb the copoarate ladder

A typical work day: Driving the department and divisional stratey through communucation with various stakeholder levels in the company. Relationship with co-workers: Have a sound relationship with co workers which is beneficial as it assist in cutting through red tape and asssits in with the delivery and completion of tasks timeously. What I have learnt: I have learnt that it take team work in order to deliver on the required objectives. A manager needs to build a good work relationship with staff in order to obtain the best performance output from them. Management means balancing work performance with staff personal goals. What I enjoy most: The interaction with various stakeholswr in the organisation. Being able to deliver a good product or service based on the strategy initiated. The most challenging aspects of the job is aligning other department startegy with your own as buget and resources remain and constraint. Regards Craig Christian

My experience in the call centre division has taught me fundamental principles on achieving customer satisfaction and it will be of great personal and professional growth when this institution considers me a capable candidate. I pay great attention to detail and is not easily distracted. Listening skills play a huge role in resolving customer complains/ queries on time and I bring this with me. Good customer relationships are key to my performance and I believe that my listening skills and empathy go a long way to ensuring that I meet their needs. My well-developed interpersonal skills together with my ability to communicate effectively contribute to my meeting deadlines .

Pros: Set a good role to new employees and get a great promotion too.
Cons: Long hours help me reach my deadlines.

Excellent learning curve

1St line technical support to resellers and direct clients for broadband packages including broadband fibre, LTE, wireless, ADSL and vodacom satellite. We provide 1St line checks if system is still down we then escalate to 2nd line support where we would be liaison with clients following up on the service request logged to the 2nd line support. I have learnt that updating your client and showing your willingness to assist is the key to best customer service. I enjoy bringing a smile to each and every client I assist. My challenge is when I request assistance from someone and they don't deliver assistance on time bringing a bad name to the company.

Pros: great opportunity for growth
Cons: easy adapt to change and pressure

Job Function

Vodacom is a nice place to work at and very customer orientated, whether it be consumers or clients or its own employees. Its benefits make it an employer of choice. My typical day focuses on instructions received from the business as well as ensuring that projects currently underway is in line with the timelines set. My instructions include the provision of advises and guidance on issues relating to anti-bribery ie. gifts and hospitality, sponsorships and donations, due diligence of third parties, monitoring and review. Projects would include automation of certain processes to align with the digital transformation the company is undergoing. The most challenging aspects of the job is the high volume of instructions that are received across Vodacom Group and ensuring that instructions are addressed timeously despite the constraints in respect of human resources. The working environment is very nice though.

Pros: Great company to work for bearing in mind its digital transformation plans.
Cons: No Growth in my Function
