I've learned to be flexible with lot of duties within the company. I would assist clients from my desk, cashier n outside on the ATM all at once. I've learned team work bring exceptional results.

Assistant Branch Manager in training

I normally run a branch alone when both my managers are away for a day or two. Handle all difficult clients and employees and attend to all client queries. Have an excellent working relationship with my employees and employers.

Challenging and fun

Open at 7:30, prepare for the meeting held for 15 mins, this is to review the previous day and discuss the learnings for the day as well as the plan for the Day. Then complete the admin for the branch, complete reports required, which could include calling clients, attending clients complaints and planning day offs for the team. Learnings - time management, prioritizing, delegating and discipline towards my work. Most enjoyed working with people and learning how to manage my own work. Challenging part was managing people, different personalities but had to ensure we all move to the same direction

Learning curve

Learning curve learned a lot... Multi tusking quality services. Team members are the best... Team players... Fun but technical side of It guys systems containtly out off line for things that could hv been prevented

Working for capitec

It is very nice to work at capitec, working with people has improved my level of patience as an individual. I enjoy most the learning activities that they load every week for us, the most challenging thing about the job is the working hours.

Great stepping stone to better myself and to get an idea of what my passion is

All administration duties regarding Capitec Bank's policies and procedures. FICA and NCR rules and regulations. Support with operational effectiveness/efficiency. Ensure client service standards are met and upheld. Deal effectively with client calls in the absence of the BM or when the BM is occupied in the front of the branch. Manage resources in the absence of the BM (includes staff management). Mentoring/Buddying of new employees (particularly during site assignment and apprentice phase) Actively support the BM with continuous improvement initiatives/actions, and provide input into coaching opportunities. Equipment maintenance and reporting of equipment problems. Serving clients 50% of the time. Contributing to the branch sales targets. Monitor and drive TTS (Time To Serve) and TOS (Time Of Service) to deliver a unique service experience. Sales calls and telemarketing calls to inform clients of new products and new available offers to them. Cashier duties and cash handling.

Cons: Long working hours, Sunday working, public holidays, Not much chance to be promoted

No opportunity for growth

Long working hours. Company only cares for its clients. Employees mean nothing to the company. No benefits. Dont even have a staff account. Work on public holidays. Unreachable targets.

How to solve problems, basically challenges that we face with clients

My daily activities include opening savings accounts, assisting clients with their transactions and handing out personal loans to clients. We also do telemarketing ,which basically includes calling clients to invite them into the branch for new services which we have to offer, or doing follow ups based on service received in the branch.

Pros: Awards for great work
Cons: working longer hours, unlike most banks, and no commission
