Taught me to be patient
It's a great experience working for a growing company. It teaches one how to work within a team, how to treat clients. How to apply HEAT (Hear Empathize Acknowledged and Take action). The challenging part is having to explain in a patient way that what the client requires it cannot be done in that way they needed to be in. Overall it's a good company to work for.

5 years internal audit experience with CIA part 1
I am part of the corporate Audit team at Capitec and am involved with planning, fieldwork and reporting of audits. This involves meeting with clients, building relationships and maintaining a relationship whereby risk management, governance and control are assessed.

Great for experience in banking sector.
Good company to work with when starting up. It will teach you about overall banking client experience. The cons are that at some days the working hours are too long that you are allocated to have lunch at 4pm.

Having add value on someone's life, that's an achievement on it's own.
Long hours and working over the weekend is what I don't like about my job. On a busy day, you take no lunch, sometimes you take only 30 minutes. I learned a lot since I got to work for this company. We are like a family with my colleagues.
Pros: Opportunities are there but are not based on the merit, based on being friends with your line manager
Cons: Working from 8 to 5 isn't bad but having to work over the weekend is another thing

Learning new ways everyday
My day will start off with a daily meeting, briefing the staff and expectations for the day ahead. Then from there it is approving of loans, responding to emails, weekly reports, customer complaints ,assisting clients, couching etc. What usually made my day was meeting different people every day and be able to assist them with their needs. Staff joked around in between assisting clients, that what kept the team going. What was challenging for me was the turn around time of feedback for queries sent way past the due date , also the card skimming and informing the the client that they will not be refunded. .

Continuos improvememt
My strength is in developing my Sales pipeline strategies so as to meet and exceed my Targets, I was in charge of 25 branches in a huge area with 21 individuals reporting to me, so planning was important as the area was too big. I am currently working for Le Morgan as a Sales Branch Manager looking after 48 Sales Reps

Work/Life balance Capitec bank is a growing company which then puts alot of continuos strain on the employees which then result in employees not having life outside the work place like family time as u only get one off in a week
