Personal and professional growth
Work under extreme amount of pressure each day...short staff..off days are privillege...all of us in the treatment unit work as a team...some days much more challenging than other days because of shortage of staff and high influx rate of patients..I am the mentor and second incharge at my current workplace...I have a good repetuation with all staff, doctors and patients. I enjoy educating patients regarding health issues, assisting doctors with procedures and woundcare. I enchanced my skill of drawing bloods,inserting drips, I also became an diabetes management expert... I also manage all stock ordered and accurate capture on system...Also do billing with ICD10 Coding.

Pharmacist in private hospital
typical day includes starting off with allocations dispensing tto's and in hospital scripts, replenishing night cupboard and casualty, conducting ward rounds for DVT, surgical prophylaxis and antimicrobial rounds. assisting retail pharmacy when required. dealing with queries and intervening where needed. control of scheduled drugs and scheduled drug replenishment, ethical stock control, building effective relationships with healthcare team members, supervising and managing assistants. chemo-mixing when required.
Pros: great experience and opportunities
Cons: expected to do so much quality work without being given time to achieve these tasks which means you end up taking work home and this leads to a poor work-life balance and stressful times , lateshifts, calls, work 2 weekends, no choice when it comes to overtime-forced to, management treated like royalty- as though they only have families.

I learnt a lot as I started working in the kitchen. it was a learning curve for me to be where i am
The hospital is very busy my work entails with the admission and discharging patients, crediting the patients medication when been discharged. I manage the timecards for the staff in my unit. Answering phone calls and binding files and submitting them to billings department. The challenging aspects in my job is time, there is too much to do and time is limited. My relationship with my co workers I very good and I enjoy working with them. I have learnt a lot from my company my problem is that I am not coping with the distance anymore.

Getting experience in almost all medical departments
Helping patients by booking them with the doctor of their choice while capturing and updating their information and submitting to the medical aid after each patient's visit. The co-workers are very supportive and friendly. It's more of a team work than of an individual. I have learned how to work well with others and as an individual to reach the target set by the company. I enjoy being the best asset in my company by reaching my target on the scheduled time and by helping putting a smile on the patients' faces. The most challenging aspect of the job is to bare with sick people as they can be very rude, grumpy, irritated and impatient.

Stock control
It's was my first time to work with the people in hospital especially in the side of medical care and for the first time was not easy but i try by all means to learn how to receive the stock and how to handle orders to the staff for patients and prepared for Ward's delivery, as time goes i and up be known how packing everything.

Working with the public is extremely challenging therefore it demands good people and public skills
You need to have good working relationships with both staff and internal customers as the reception department rely on accurate information with regards to patient admission into hospital. Time Management is crucial to the day to day operations as Doctors and theaters work in accordance of planned procedures daily. A great challenge though is the understanding of Medical Aid Schemes policies and processes as you have to manage the risk of payments by obtaining authorization for procedures for patients.

Excellent learning curve
Its a nice working environment and a place where every being feels respected and valuable. Credit control is a nice but challenging job whereby one must have skills to collect and for customer management.I blend well with my co workers and am a team player.I'm a hard working;ambitious;reliable and easy to adjust person. I believe I would be of great asset to the company
