I enjoy meeting new people everyday

we operate on the cellular mall, we make sure that the stores in the mall are operational, we build the relationship between the shops and make sure that the store meets our targets

Great learning curve, but no room for growth, no support to grow into other roles

working at Vodacom has been a great experience, my job is extremely admin intensive, I am always on the go and always working under pressure. I have been given so many responsibilities which are not on my job description but I have managed to successfully undertake these and work efficiently, I do not feel motivated working at Vodacom, hence I am looking for another opportunity where I can grow with the company, where I will get the support of my team members and managers, in time be groomed for e better position, I am looking for stability as I am studying as well

It's a good thing to be part of the winning team

I have a total of 3 years work experience in this field and am confident that I am the best candidate for your vacancy. My present position has taught me the importance of clear communication and customer service over the phone. In my current role I resolve customer problems, give sales pitches and take accurate notes of conversations with customers. I have received excellent performance evaluations from my managers and have been formally recognised by them for my contribution towards my department’s success.

Excellent customer service and administrative experience

On a typical working day my duty is to take office calls, assist with account related queries, count and book in stock, make sales and assist clients.I had a great relationship with my colleagues I have a passion for working with people, I've learnt how to be patient and how to work under pressure, i enjoyed taking office calls counting stock and doing basic administrative duties.The environment was challenging because I met new people on a daily basis and had to adjust to many different personalities.

Pros: Great opportunity to learn more about administrative and secretarial duties
Cons: The working hours were very long

Taking charge of my own self development not to wait with expectations.

Great company to work for in the sense of they uphold employee rights, privileges etc....In contrast to the company's professional atmosphere is the company's social atmosphere. everyone is boxed to their department, divided not just in race but status, occupational levels etc...The co-workers are friendly, more so if one identifies with the views of departmental clique. The work is challenging for a person who is new to Windows and Microsoft suite but once that is understood it's pretty much monotonous and easy to execute. I enjoyed most the team builds, travelling to different provinces and the constant streams of information available whether through a sales seminar report or Technology webinar...It always provided useful stats and ground breaking information about future technology.

Pros: Great opportunity for growth, through voda-university, bursaries, scholarships etc..
Cons: Long hours and too much corporate jargon inhibiting communication

Excelent when learning

working at Vodacom is great. working hard everyday and making sure that both costumers and staff members are happy. i love my job and my relationship with other workers is very great i learn a lot from them and i learnt to be a team player. when costumer is not happy thats the most challenging part

Gaining experience and learning

Needs analysis and compile training Manual according to the customer's needs. I learned to be time bound and to be immaculate on my work, plan and organise my duties. There was a high level of support from Management and encouragement. Supporting when needed with allocated projects of training staff products. Enjoyed interacting with other countries via video conference regarding new launched products

Pros: Great opportunity for sales and marketing
Cons: No promotion I take it as no growth in the company

Growth

The current company I'm working at...the environment and the management together with my colleagues are very welcoming and we treat each other with respect..and love one another..there is space for growth and lessons to be groomed..it's an awesome place to be at..

Cons: too many policies
