Very good
Very good environment to work within, normal office hours over time was done if target not met for that week.I enjoyed working for the company as I was earning more on sales.I have done NQF level 4 management course with the company. There was growth in the company.

Analytical quick learner
My typical work day as a underwriter involves financially and medically underwriting prospective clients applying for insurance. An underwriter's duty is to evaluate risk and ensure that we put good risk on books and also charge premiums accordingly - based on age, income and health status. Very good relationships with peers as well as management. In underwriting you learn something new everyday - come across new disease and many times financial requirements change based on laws.

I am a fast leaner
I passed my grade 12 in 1995 and obtained my N6 Management Assistant in 1996. I started working at Retail stores in Clicks where I ended up being the Store Manager. Went to work at Kruger National Park as an Assistant Manager> Now I am working at Old Mutual as a Financial Advisor. I am a hard-working person who will do the most of any opportunity given to me.

Excellent opertunity to grow and excell in your job scope.
Work a full day, SLA driven. Worked very well with my colleagues, was very diverse. Went for lots of courses during my employment to equip myself. I enjoyed going to work because of the culture that we had in the office we were like one big happy family. The challenging part for me was managing the SLA, and having to have one on one discussions with my colleagues regarding errors that they made.
Pros: Great opertunity for promotions.
Cons: Because we were SLA driven we had to work lots of overtime

Great Learning Foundation
A typical work day is surrounded by the buzz of financial advisers needing assistance either with client queries or laptop troubleshooting. The morning is filled with laughter and happiness as colleagues share a joke or just engage in early morning banter. I have become a bolder and stronger person in my role as I have learnt to be assertive yet humble in my approach. I enjoy interacting with my colleagues on a day to day basis as we are each from different ethnic backgrounds. Sharing each others cultures is what makes for interesting relationships and friendships and gives me an opportunity to grow and learn different things. Challenges arise in any business but for me in my particular role, the most challenging aspects are trying to communicate to older generations and try to get them to understand the ways and technologies of the new world.

Learning experience
Challenging and also interesting as I have been servicing Executive Financial Advisers. That meant dealing with high caliber of clientele in line with the said Advisers. What I have learnt is how to handle difficult clients who always expects best and professional Service. It has taught me to over deliver and also be Pro-Active. Being able to work independently without supervision. I enjoyed being able to solve any queries that were thrown at me and having the satisfaction of knowing that I have helped with giving my client peace of mind

I gained lot of experience in different roles
I started as sales representative then moved to a team leader position now I'm a sales manager. I was developed to be a manager of others and cost effective management. I also taken through how to minimize business risk.

I like my job because most of the time i am feed worker .
I working hard under pressure, I want to work with team and with my manager I'm strong and flexible person. And I learn to listen to my colleague and the client also but if this topic is relevant with my job, focus with my work .Enjoy money travelling my family and my work.

Great Exposure
Currently i enjoy exposure to different fields of work with in the old mutual group. I get to work with Financial Managers and Portfolio Managers who are more in the direction i wish to follow in my career. Working hand in hand with the professionals and liasing with our clients accordingly adds value and allows me a wealth of experience.
