Excellent learning curve
Excellent company to work for gained a lot of experince and challenges one just need growth and explore new challenges. Been a superviour for years with my company. Having a great relationship with my colleagues at a retalis store theres customers challenges on a daily bases but unfornately its about them being happy. What i enjoy most at work is learning a new thing i like new challenges so its exciting to learn everyday. The most challenging aspect about my job is working through the weekend and public holidays.

Always be on top of your game
when it comes to analysis Edcon is on point because there is more one report you can look at and they are all not one dimensional. The culture is fine as you get to be part of a team and you should always be ensynch in running your business. I love the fact that it broadens my knowledge when it to the FMCG industry. the hours get to be long sometimes and that's the most challenging thing about this job.one needs to have the best relationship with your supplier as this builds confidence in how you approach them if one of their product is not doing and its easy to ask for a cancellation.
Pros: its a great place to learn when it comes to planning, they have great systems.
Cons: hours gets to be long especially if your portfolio is big.

Growth within company
i have q national secretary diploma, i worked for Edcon a s secretary for 4 general managers for 9 years. i personally feel as i am a extrovert working in corporate is aajor bonus as im very flexable and easy to deal with various people.

Its challenging, you can learn more work and growth as well
Ambitious, keen to learn new things, work well under pressure, team player, self driven and able to lead people and get also reach deadline. My duties are check if all complaince is done and staff or customer won't be in danger. Maintain the building if there crack tile, or broken mirriors

I would like to riveiw my edcon salary
I am a vibrant lady wanting an opportunity to work for your company. I am currently working for Edcon as Stock Admin Investigator. I have interest in this position because I know that my potential will be fully used. I have been in this field for 4 years, and have gained a lot of experience with communicating with people, organising skills, computer literate, punctuality, balancing stock for our stores. Typing and customer service.

I Enjoyed everything at Edcon, Shifts was ok with me and enjoyed working with everyone. Hours was never a problem for me. the company use to spoil us with gifts on our birthdays.

I love the job that im currently doing, call centre job helped me to communicate well with people and helped me to improve my English language. I love working with people, i have an excellent relationship with my co-workers. Im a team player

I am an intern, have been here for six months.
I am at Edcon in Human Resource Department. My duties are but not limited to: • Creation of adverts on Soft scape • Advertising internally and externally • Shortlisting of candidates and inviting them to interview • Compiling interview guides • Arranging and conducting interview • Make offers to accepted candidates • Compiling new starter packs documents for new employees • Preparing of Appointment Authorisation Forms, Letter of Appointments and Flexible Remuneration • Calculation of benefit Salaries and Total Packages • Uploading employees on my Focus System to grant them employee numbers • Conducting Reference check through MIE and Telephone • Preparing tracker for missing documents on new starters • Capturing of SDL accounts( under banking) • Updating spread sheet tracker for terminations, maternity leaves etc. • Capturing of new employee on my focus for Document Collection Campaign • Confirmation of employment • Contract for Location allowances
Pros: • Gaining and enhancing my skills
Cons: the delay in responding to employees queries
