Great learning pportunities
Its very nice working for Edcon, managers value our opinions and appreciate our hard work. Co- workers are nice too though not everyone can be all nice to you but majority of co-workers are nice and helpful. Some days are better than other days but other days do get a little bit overwhelming but manageable. Working in Edcon I have learned to understand that I don't go to work to make friends but to get tasks done, and people are different so not everybody will be nice towards you.
Pros: Edcon take care of its employees
Cons: Groth is a little bit slow

Excellent Planning and organising
I’m well furnished with broad Debtors knowledge, Fraud and Merchandising and Admin, product knowledge, computer skills, and good academic background as far as competency requirements in the field are concerned and this is further complemented by strong personal attributes such as pressure resilience, flexibility, analytical, problem solving and versatility

Good learning curve,
well Tuesdays are meeting days. we have emts. where we discuss our target ,downfalls and how we will work hard and make sure we do better the next week. a Typical day will be ,making sure there is enough stationary by the help desk, attending to emails answer calls attend to customer queries sending emails to planners and distributors checking if orderd stock has arrived and in good condition monitoring our daily, weekly and monthly sales target contacting customers to come collect their items

Cons: long hours. working on all public holidays. subsequently no room for growth

Working with lot of people with different cultures anb backround.
This is the biggest retail company with lot of employees. One need to be born and bred in Edcon if you want to grow and survive with them. You are require to work long hours during peak periods in order for you to make money.
Pros: If you work hard and learn a lot you can climb the ladder.
Cons: Mostly management works long hours.

Company supports upliftment within the company by offering courses.
Since I started working for EDCON they sent me on a lot of management courses such as business management,Leadership management, Employee Relations, etc. There is a lot more to tell should I be invited for an interview.
Pros: There is always new opportunities within the EDCON structure
Cons: They dropping 5 promotions on the day before it breaks.

I've learn to work with peaple with different caracters
As you can see, I have had extensive vacation work experience in office environments, the retail sector and service industries, giving me varied skills and the ability to work with many different types of people. I believe I could fit easily into your team. I am a conscientious person who works hard and pays attention to detail. I'm flexible, quick to pick up new skills and eager to learn from others.

I have learnt a lot
I didn't have a knowledge when I join the company but now I've learnt many things as cashier,stockroom associate,cellphone admin,bank leader and i became a department manager,store admin manager and i ended up as risk,control and stock admin manager.I enjoyed the part of setup a retail coz its where it shows you how much you lost for the past month.My challenge was when i received a lot of boxes and the budget is not allowing me to call staff in i have to work on the number of staff i have in the stockroom.
Pros: I achieved a lot in 2013 I became department manager but under casual,i got a permanent position same company as store admin manager and now i am working as risk,control and stock admin manager.
Cons: I dnt mind working more hours to make my job perfect.

Good review n custmers sales skills indeed
I worked for 3shops in edcon so for it a opportunit for me to be a great store man or a businessman becouse as i was a cusaul i was givan a chance to run a store and i was act as visual manger for edgars at jabulani mall in soweto than i was apointed as PPT still visual manager for boardmans in bedfordview i wad the one setting up the promotions running the store but for me i felt like it was my time to run the store like a manger i was dicised making plans to rich the daily tergets monthly etc now im a beauty consalted in red square dealing with make up skin care products perfurms chasing after my dreams ,
Pros: working harder for more money
Cons: easy hours to relix your mind and body
