Deadline Driven with multiple risks and management of deliverables

I work a 08:00 - 17:00 job but in other instances I am required to extend working hours in order to meet deadlines I have a good working relationship with co-workers and executive management. On a constant basis I am given the opportunity to appear and present my findings to Executive Management Working at Vodacom has helped me to harness my compliance, negotiation, presentation and legal writing skills What I enjoy with my job is that the telecommunications sector is always revolving and requires me to undertake research in order to keep abreast with technology changes and to advise business on how best to deal with those changes The long working hours which are necessitated by the need to meet deadlines may sometimes have an effect on the work life balance with the effect that in other instances I have to dedicate time towards my job

Excellent Learning Curve. Oportunity to climb the copoarate ladder

A typical work day: Driving the department and divisional stratey through communucation with various stakeholder levels in the company. Relationship with co-workers: Have a sound relationship with co workers which is beneficial as it assist in cutting through red tape and asssits in with the delivery and completion of tasks timeously. What I have learnt: I have learnt that it take team work in order to deliver on the required objectives. A manager needs to build a good work relationship with staff in order to obtain the best performance output from them. Management means balancing work performance with staff personal goals. What I enjoy most: The interaction with various stakeholswr in the organisation. Being able to deliver a good product or service based on the strategy initiated. The most challenging aspects of the job is aligning other department startegy with your own as buget and resources remain and constraint. Regards Craig Christian

Great working environment

vodacom is a large company with much of friendly people, i have learnt a lot and i face challenges and problem solve every day. my relationship with co-workers is much exciting as we get along very well and work as a team. so much has been learnt about the products and vodacom as a whole and its business culture. i simply enjoy talking with different customers as they have different personalities, resolving their issues and problem solving. the most challenging of the job is to ensure customers are always satisfied as there are other difficult so you have to think on your feet.

Pros: friendly people , it gathers different personalities in one place
Cons: long working hours , less day offs and early working hours

Great rope to learn new and perferct communication skills and soft skills

It is a place surrounded by friendly people, hard working and passionate. I normally get straight shift for only a week. I learn a lot on working independently. Working with hard to reach goals and monthly targets

Pros: Opportunity to learn. Dealing with different kinds of people and different attitudes and moods. Learning skills on how to communicate.

Good training for admin work and customer services

It's nice to work at vodacom, the environment it's good, friendly co workers and hard workers. The challenge I have is when the shift does not change like working grave yard for all most 6 months because the is a lot of agents so it take time to rotate. i like attending customers queries and give solution at first instance, I also like to train new staff and motivate not performing teams since am always meeting and exceeding the stats.as I am a hard worker i need growth and new challenges in the industry.

Pros: great opportunity for grow.
Cons: fixed contract.

Excellent learning curve

1St line technical support to resellers and direct clients for broadband packages including broadband fibre, LTE, wireless, ADSL and vodacom satellite. We provide 1St line checks if system is still down we then escalate to 2nd line support where we would be liaison with clients following up on the service request logged to the 2nd line support. I have learnt that updating your client and showing your willingness to assist is the key to best customer service. I enjoy bringing a smile to each and every client I assist. My challenge is when I request assistance from someone and they don't deliver assistance on time bringing a bad name to the company.

Customer service

A typical day for me at work would helping customers what their needs and ensuring they are satisfied when they exit the store. What i enjoy most of working is the sales part , i love fhe adrenaline of going after that sale, and keepikg in competition wit myself. I love working with people, especially teamwork. Around this i have learnt alot of thingy , not only have i gained experience but also i learnt how to control myself in certian situations. Most challenging aspect of the job is find , because where it is based.

It was a great stepping stone for me to learn and gain a lot of knowlegde

working at the call centre was very exciting and loud a bit busy but enjoyable my relationships with my co workers was a very healthy one i have learnt how to communicate with people and a lot about customer experience the most enjoyable part about my was interacting with clients and the most challenging thing was irate customers
