Regulatory and Legal compliance

The Regulatory Affairs Department at Vodacom is constituted by a total of 9 employees who are all responsible for providing advice to the company on matters ranging from Economic Regulation, Market Regulation, Technical Regulation, Regulatory Law and Compliance. Roles and responsibilities are divided according to areas of responsibility. Department characterised by good and open working relationship with co workers and l am able to interact at all levels. One thing that l have learnt relates to open dialogue, consultation and engagement with co workers to seek their views on several issues. At the same time there is a need to take full ownership of the advice rendered. What l enjoy the most about my job is that there are no boundaries as l am allowed to think out of the box and provide solutions to matters at hand. There are several challenges associated with my work: - the extra hours to get the job done - convincing senior management team to adopt a less popular view

Excellent customer services

A typical work day at this company is quite fast paced so i have to be on my feet . my relatinship with co - workers are good as we all get along and work as a team . i have learnt great customer service skills as well as administrative duties as well as manager duties. i enjoy mostly helping others as it has become a real passion of mine . the most challenging aspects are stock availability and customer relations as we are now and then out of stock that customers seek.

I do face to face customer service handle them in a very good manner.

I work with account difficult customer easy to handle the pressure knowing the system and loving what I do. I also work well with my colleagues believe in team work and take ownership of the queries.

Pros: there are so many challenges dealing with irate customer some would force things to be done or resolved now off which sometimes impossible due to accessibility on the system where by escalations needs to be done . But I never complain try to do thing to the best of my ability and as well to the customers best interest.
Cons: work 12hr shift and 6hr shift

Excelent learning curve

A typical day at work is very busy as we have a high volume of calls on a daily basis..i have an good relationship with my co workers as i believe team work is very important and essential .. i belive we should help one another to grow ..what i have learned at vodacom is that customers are very important and that its more than just giving customer service is about connecting with your customer and making them feel safe and at home.. The most challenging aspect of this job is the long working hours with no transport provided so one is always putting their lives at risk to get home

Learning to adapt and face challenges head on

Working with a team as team to achieve a common goal which is to assist customers right the first time Getting along with your team members makes it to work inn a callcentre enviroment since your teammates are also your support system which makes the job easier especially when dealing with those challenging queries. Having to deal with customers over the phone can be a challenge especially those who are'nt familiar with the product they are using since you're unable to demonstrate to them and that's where I've learnt to be patient and work with them to get the query resolved and when all is done I feel proud that I have taught them how to resolved the problem on their own

am a 29 year old ambitious male who is prepared to achieve the desired goal of the job description.
