It is a great company to work for. I had opportunities to fly with our ECO in the company helicopter & took aerial photography of the mines & projects. I also went twice to the ROC Congo at the Mayoko project. Not many people got that opportunity.

Learning everyday
hard working individual, passionate and motivated by deadlines. I have an understanding in Cost and Management Accountant and Financial Accountant as well as its roles in the running and contributions to the efficiencies of the Organization. Confident of the skills that I have learnt this far but willing to improve and learn more. To mention few: • Communication, • Computer skills, • Reporting • Budgeting • Teamwork • Ability to work under pressure, • Customer care skills I believe in sharing, developing and continuously improving my skills.

Gained lots of experience
Hectic work environment. Daily deadlines to be met. Worked well with co-workers. Monthly deadlines. Capturing source documents, allocating payments from bank. Reconciling Debtors accounts. Raising new invoices for game lodge accommodation, land lease agreements, livestock sales, game sales and sundry invoices Scrutinizing and solving accounts in error. Calling clients for outstanding amounts due and noting updates on file. I have learnt that you have to know how important your contribution is for your company. I enjoy interacting with different personality types from all walks of life. Most challenging aspects: When Debtors cannot afford to pay outstanding monies and recovery is a slow process.

Daily inspections and corrective work ons breakdowns
The mine was a big mine so it had all the tools needed to do the job and i found that very nice so the job would have been done in a shorter period of time that it would if we did not have the tools,they where strict when it comes to their training an safety,had alot of benefits to help their employees,they tried to keep you connected and to have a voice

Committed to excellence
Have been working for this company for 20 years. Started as a miner and worked myself up to a mine overseer. Great company to work for. Good balance between cultures. High on safety driven mile stones. Production orientated with safety as the main drive. Care for its people and ensure a good balance between sosial and work relationships

Challenging
Morning meeting preparations for the day duties for the artisans with job cards I enjoyed working with the team and management very helpful and we had an open door policy I learned about parts of the equipments (trucks) I was not only working with permanent employees but with service providers as well

Excellent learning curve, Fantastic exposure
My stay so far at Exxaro has been very beneficial, a great learning curve for me in the sense that i am trusted enough to run with a huge project. I am in Procurement, and we have professional/ friendly loving colleagues. I am more comfortable with the SAP AND Coupa systems. one thing i have enjoyed the most is how the company is up to date with technology trends as a young person it has made working here more exciting and easier to deliver on my duties. like in any Job there are some challenges but mostly it has just been busy with orders on certain days of the month which i have in fact mastered a way to deal with(being proactive)My stay so far at Exxaro has been very beneficial, a great learning curve for me in a sense that i am trusted enough to run with a huge project.
