The primary objective of this position is to render a maintenance service to all machines in the Packing Plant to ensure that machines operate at the desired efficiency level in order to achieve planned production targets.

Opportunity for incentives & a job security policies

-Training and Development cultures and policies cater for mining and engineering fields only. - Difficult in coping with change as a result of a new harsh CEO - Exxaro is too politically attacked -Possible chances for Exxaro to shit down and deregister due to pressure -No Promotion -Overstaffed, which increase a high competition for internal recruitment -

Pros: A job security culture that guarantees hiring back after dismissal/ retrenchment
Cons: A No promotion policy & only internal recruitment as a way of upgrading up the career ladder

Gained more experience on safety,heavg duty and light duty equipment

I have trained as a Diesel mechanic Apprentice at Grovos training centre from 01/05/2015 until 30/04/2016, then went for my practicals at Grootegeluk Coal mine up until I wrote my trade test on the 04/10/2017 and qualified as a Diesel Mechanic. I am very passionate about learning more about heavy duty trucks and other earth moving equipment. I had the opportunity to work on various earth moving equipment companies such as >Caterpillar (front end loaders-994F,928G,992G,966;Graders-16M) >Hitachi (dump trucks-3500ac3 & ac2, 4000ac3) >Komatsu (730E) >Manitou -Worked on services and breakdowns.Challenges were working long hours and under pressure whereas we have to apply to safety.I have learnt on working through safety and working without supervision.

Excellent

Section41(daily maintenance) Perform inspections in accordance with mine Health and Safety. Ensure that all the equipment complies with legislation and mine standards. Report all the defects to the foreman. Repair equipment and machinery according to the maintenance standards (Fletcher, Shuttlecar, Feederbreaker, Krappie and Oiltank). Maintaining a good housekeeping according to the mine standards. General services Maintaining a goodhouse keeping according to the mine standards. Repair all the domestic equipment in the offices and hostels according to the installation rules and standards SABS.

Been working in the minning industry for the past ten years

started working as an electrician and worked for 4 years doing advance fault findind,plc, medium voltage and also went to few training on plc and safety Also worked as a maintenance planner , scheduling job cards for artisans,drawing up budget,ordering of spares,doing follo-up on spares ordered,creating maintenance plans, printing and confining of job cards done also first line management with unisa to help me differinciate between different types of people and their behavior Currenlty working as an Electrical supervisor and the most challenging issue is to change the way people see and think about things I have build up a strong relationship with lot of people from our company and the most important thing is to respect people's values, culture and also you must give them your trust

INSPECTOR INVENTORY I INSPECT EVERY ITEM THAT WAS PURCHACE AND RETURN FROM THE END-USER DO REJECTION WHERE EVER NECESARY CORRECT THE ITEMS IN OUR STOCK . MAKE SURE THAT ITEM IN THE BIN ARE CORRECT AND IN GOOD CONDITION. HELPING THE END-USER AND THE SUPPLIER WITH THE CORRECT INFORMATION OF WHAT ARE THEY LOOKING FOR OR WHAT THEY WANT TO SUPPLY TO US . Anything, anywhere and ill be there to prove myself worthy of any position.

Consider me one of the hardest workers out there. All work and no play. I have a wife and 4 children who means the world to me. I would move mountains for them if i could. So I am reaching out to a new horizen. Looking for that perfect job i can wake up to feeling happy.

The best learning area

It's the best place to get experience and also to explore in different machines. All things concerning millwright trade you have to go through it. So what I can say is it's the good place to just get experience. We also work overtime and 3 shift rotations.. working independently.

Pros: Promotion wise is hard/difficult to get because of when a person is in that 1 position such as a foreman he/she will never upgrade in education wise so it cost u as an artisan working under them you can't even become a foreman.
Cons: Working hours are normal
