- Generating Quotes for client on Health, Life, Invest & Insure - Tracking and following up on Policy requirements until policy is issued - Extensive knowledge of Discovery Insure (Short-Term Insurance) - Organizing promotional days for the Discovery Insure product - Scheduling of client appointments and ensuring the Financial Adviser is well prepared for meetings; - Scheduling of after sales service meetings - Handle clients in a professional manner - Deal with client requests including all emails and calls timeously and efficiently - Process client quote request urgently and follow up until closure - Deliver an excellent after sales service - Building of Financial Advisers pipeline of business - Finding and creating opportunities with new clientele

Excerlint Learning Curve
I love working for Discovery as it is a great learning curve for me , I have a great boss and she is very understanding. I don't mind putting in the hours and work because I know that my boss and I work well together. If I am unhappy about things I can always speak to her and she does the same with me, in that way we grow together.
Pros: Teaches me to be more organised than i already am

Great exposure to new ways of working, results driven
Discovery is a great environment to learn new skills and be exposed to a deadline driven culture . Work life balance is at times overlooked in favour of delivery.
Pros: Opportunity to be exposed to skills outside of your primary function

To be
I currently work for discovery a company that consists of 5000-10000 people and im a receptionist.I work in a team of 8 people 6 females and 2 males.My relationship with them is the beautiful and exciting relationship as we communicate and support each other .I have learnt how to be more patient and understanding.I really enjoy waking up and face my team on a daily basis as we have made a very good relationship among ourselves.My challenge aspects of my job is when we have a load shading or power failure as we have to attend to our millions of customers and visitors manually.

Not exactly what I expected
We go to all the government institutions to do presentations on our discovery funeral cover.its quit difficult to convince people who already have funeral covers with other companies as we are newly established on the funeral department. -we have to atleast sign up two clients per day. -on Fridays we would normally go meet at the office to go and submit our applications for head office. -There is not much of a relationship amongst employees in our department as we are competing against each other.sometimes people will steal your clients. -I have learnt to be self and target driven. -I enjoy meeting new people and working with different people on a day to day basis -What I have found challenging is depending on commission for a salary. Not having a manager or a leader to ask when I have things that I do not understand ,having to figure things out on my own as a new agent.
Pros: Great opportunity to become someone who's able to deal with day to day people

To allways do your best
I always make the most of my day even when there are difficult days or clients. I'm always smiling, being polite and focused. I have good relationship with my colleagues and noticed that i always learn something new. I enjoy working with people most of all my clients and to keep them happy. I believe that Honesty is the. best policy

It's been a great beginners/ enry level job
Discovery is a great company. It just does not have any career opportunities for my field of study which is chemistry The working environment is great. They have a great team of young individuals. Majority of us are appointed on the bases of having Matric. I have been a call centre agent for a while now. The co workers are friendly. A typical day is sitting at my desk with my headphones on and doing my work. My work is target and production based.
Pros: Great working environment
Cons: Not a lot of opportunities for growth

Awesome Auditing
I have been employed at Discovery for the past 17 years and have managed to grow from a call centre agent to an IT Auditor. The role as an IT Auditor is an exciting yet challenging role mainly since the IT Audit team is responsible for auditing all applications across all the Discovery Product Houses. I have performed applications audits, general controls audits, integrated audits with other audit teams as well as the very first software licensing management audit in Discovery. I enjoy most integrated audits as i believe that business and IT objectives need to be aligned and it is in the best interest of the clients when a joined effort is undertaken by the business an IT auditor to provide greater assurance as well as value to its clientele. My passion for auditing overrides any challenge which comes with being a professional and dedicated auditor.

My passion is to work with people, and I know how to cope under pressure.
I enjoy helping clients, assist them , and see them smile when they walk away. An even when they return , and only want to get service with me. It was and is my passion to work with people, and have no problem to work with multi colour people,. I can work well in a team..........are a team player, have no objection to assist when needed after hours,..
