I always make the most of my day even when there are difficult days or clients. I'm always smiling, being polite and focused. It's been a great beginners/ enry level job
Discovery is a great company. It just does not have any career opportunities for my field of study which is chemistry The working environment is great. They have a great team of young individuals. Majority of us are appointed on the bases of having Matric. I have been a call centre agent for a while now. The co workers are friendly. A typical day is sitting at my desk with my headphones on and doing my work. My work is target and production based.
Pros: Great working environment
Cons: Not a lot of opportunities for growth

Awesome Auditing
I have been employed at Discovery for the past 17 years and have managed to grow from a call centre agent to an IT Auditor. The role as an IT Auditor is an exciting yet challenging role mainly since the IT Audit team is responsible for auditing all applications across all the Discovery Product Houses. I have performed applications audits, general controls audits, integrated audits with other audit teams as well as the very first software licensing management audit in Discovery. I enjoy most integrated audits as i believe that business and IT objectives need to be aligned and it is in the best interest of the clients when a joined effort is undertaken by the business an IT auditor to provide greater assurance as well as value to its clientele. My passion for auditing overrides any challenge which comes with being a professional and dedicated auditor.

My passion is to work with people, and I know how to cope under pressure.
I enjoy helping clients, assist them , and see them smile when they walk away. An even when they return , and only want to get service with me. It was and is my passion to work with people, and have no problem to work with multi colour people,. I can work well in a team..........are a team player, have no objection to assist when needed after hours,..

Excellent work experience

Great learning environment
At discovery,the environment was very learning friendly,my co-workers were lovely and friendly,they provided me with support with the work that we did, we worked well together and we kept the professional relationships yet we were still friends outside the work place

Learning Curve working in a different industry
I worked well with my colleagues , but unfortunately cannot say I have learned more around Test Analysis , but I definitely have a better understanding of the Insurance Industry . What I like the most is the interest from executive management to live healthy and thereby encourage our clients to live healthy. The challenge was the fact that your stakeholders like the Developers,BA's etc still don't understand the importance of a testing team during a Release.

Career growth
Technology advances is a subject that I am mostly passionate about and how it continually improves business operations. I have the drive and motivation to be successful. Currently I work in a Financial Services and Insurance Industry at Discovery as a Business Analyst. I have the ability to work on different projects and have managed to engage with various senior stakeholders while aiming on delivering customer’s requirements. I trust that my experience together with my IT-Business Applications Degree, post grad Masters Degree in IT and enthusiasm has allowed me to learn more about gathering information and integrating it into the IT system applications, documenting business & functional requirements, enhancements of business processes, quality assurance and providing technical support to the firm and its clients.

Excellent learning industry
Making appointments, Arranging the diary for the week. Clients enquire, Follow up on second appointments. Follow up new business Assisting clients with there vitality status and assisting them to move up status by completing the vitality assessments. Booking the clients at the Discovery Wellness Centre. Working with my co- workers are very exciting we all learn new things everyday from each other and from the company. I have learnt alot from Discovery. How to approach the clients and the ways to assist the clients with simple enquiry. I enjoy assisting the clients with there enquiry. The most challenging is the new business applications. There is a time line to follow on and make sure all documents are submitted on time. Also make sure that the client meedicals are done on time.
