Solid foundation for learning
I have worked with Transnet for several years, and I have found my employment to be very rewarding but less opportunities to grow. Everyday is a new challenge and a solid foundation for learning. The management has an open door policy for all team players. The management knows all the employees who assist in carrying out the mission statement. The supervisors of the company are very supportive of all the team players in the field, and are always open to suggestions. The main office provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Transnet is not just a company but a school of engineering of which everyday is like a learning curve.

Good working environment
- Site based most of the time - Good working relationship with colleagues - I have acquired a lot of management skills and how to work with a team - Most challenging aspect of the job is driving long distances for long hours - What I enjoy most is the opportunity to grow academically by attenting courses and trainings

Excellent learning curve
Its a good company,i cant complain but i am looking for a company that i can be given the opportunity to be a permanent employee and grow inside since im a hard worker nd very dedicated un what i do.

Excellent learning course,needs dedication and hard work

Goal oriented
I'm currently responsible for maintenance of11kV /6.6kV substations and transmission lines, And 3kV DC traction substations. I also worked worked on SAP sytem for budgeting and buying of maintenance material. I also acted as a production manager, so this gives me confidence that I can be the best candidate for this position.
Pros: Great exposure to heavy current engineering
Cons: forever in meetings than doing actual work.

I've learnt the duties of mechanical engineering technician
here at saldanha port terminals I've learnt commucating with people, working as ateam, initiating projects, coming up with ideas, doing fault finding, inspectiions, writing scopes of work and time management
