Salary and development structure is very dissapointing
I have grown a lot in my role and would like to take a step further and be in a company that will take more interest in developing me and a better salary package

New experience for me
My typical work day would be managing a team of agents to go out into the field and promote and sell funeral policies. 'technically my own boss' Writing my own salary each month. My goal is for them to achieve daily targets. I get on very well with all colleagues, there is no room for complaints. It is my very first time working in the sales field, I have learnt that its not as easy as it sounds, but very achievable if you have goals and targets set. what I love about what I do, is I can get to spend time with my family more. motivating the team when business is not doing too well for the day or even the week. my job will be to encourage them to push harder and achieve what they have come here to do. to keep the work flow running smoothly, it is always a good thing to have a team building with the guys now and again.

Cons: going out into the rural areas looking for work.

A lot of learning experiences
A Very challenging place to work, with clients, enquiries. Everyday is something different, always something new to learn. Can be very demanding at times with deadlines, and working with different directors.

Working a wonderful experience and explore.
I have worked with many companies and if I may say they were all a great stepping stone towards my dreams. I enjoyed meeting with clients in a professional way and also learned a lot about the company and the service they render. At Sanlam we all worked to please our customers and learnt that team work is everything before our positions. What was most challenging was saying NO to a client instead I always listened and ensured that their needs were met with a smile on my face. Another challenge was marking sure that everytime me and my senior colleague met the highest score before the deadline. Working with Sanlam showed me how to ask for second opinion if you are not certian instead of giving out incorrect information. Working with Sanlam has given me the chance to change the way I used to think happened in the cooperative world.

Wonderful family company
It is a challenging position that I have taken head on. I have a wonderful relationship with the director however I would like to grow further in my position.

Good working environment
i have learned a lot but i feel no growth here .long hours are fine and the rate is not so good but the environment is friendly and easily adaptable we get to meet different characters of client and the pressure is high sometimes especially on cutoff dates we work very hard to produce desired results

Good working environment
its a friendly working environment,deliveries took time and the i have learnt to persuade customers,i enjoyed reaching my target and earning my bonus! cutting off date it was too early and reaching our monthly targets was difficult

Cons: there were no long working hours it was normal 8 hours
