Career development

I would appreciate the opportunity to be part of your leading company. Due to the experience I have gathered from two leading banking institutions namely, Standard Bank and ABSA. The experience has enhanced my inter-personal relations and customer service skills. I work very well under pressure and able to acclimatize in every sector I engage with. I have ventured in an insurance sector as well, which I have proved to be a versatile and enthusiastic being because I am open to learning.

Meeting clients face to face selling sanlam products or making calls setting up a appointment and do presantation , signing up clients collecting there personal information, working with a target sometimes under pressure. making follow up with clients and sorting out lapes also capturing the business

Great learning environment

My daily routine is to respond to clients emails, generating quotes for withdrawals and values of investment portfolios, dealing with debit orders(placing, investigating, changing dates). The work environment is competitive and vibrant. I enjoy serving the client to their satisfaction, it is a challenge but the results are always worth it. I have learnt a lot about the financial services industry.

Skills developed

It is a very wonderful environment to work at and great team at death claims, I have learned a lot here, I learned to be a team player, hard work pays a lot here because good performance is the goal, stress tolerance and to work under high volume of pressure. I enjoy my work because we help those in need of funeral assistance. My challenges is that some days we are faced with a lot of claims to process within the service level agreement of paying the claim within 4 hours, so that might be my challenge for me to make sure that I pay valid claims.

To at all times render and offer quality service

I am accustomed to the fast paced environment which is common to an administration office/Call Centre and work well under pressure. I am highly organized, detail orientated, extremely neat on my person and working environment and have high regard for quality of work. Working in a multi-racial environment has enhanced my interpersonal and communication skills with people of all ethnic and employment backgrounds.

Amazing new challenge

It was a very nice company to work for. Started off by just doing two Financial Advisor's work but it became more over time with no growth potential. All my coworkers in the admin office were really friendly and we got along really well it felt like a small family. I've learned a lot of new programs that I worked on, especially customer service became much easier and my organisation skills shot threw the roof. The most challenging part was getting too many Financial advisors work all at once. It grew to 6 at a time and there were only 3 PA's and it kept growing. And when you do so many people's work its a lot of stress because you don't want to do a half job because of the amount of work we got.

Pros: Lots of new learning experiences, team building was quite nice
Cons: No growth

Great career starter

Good environment to gain experience about working in a large environment. Although it is large it is broken up in small teams, therefore I get to form good bonds with colleagues. Very conducive to production and there are programs to deal with mental and emotional wellbeing. Very grateful for being awarded the opportunity.

Stable job

No scope for growth,unless you relocate,hardly any challenges.management style bias.no equity Challenges are usually a very difficult client which you need to win over. The office basically operates without.a manager. The environment is a bit challenging.

You will have access to the entire Africa insurance market through various different support and finance disciplines. Learn different ways of doing things and from differnent cultures and customs. And access to more than just insurance products.
