Liberty Reviews

One of my building blocks

Working for Liberty was one of the building blocks I needed, but found that my passion actually lies with QA, for this reason I've decided to return to what I enjoy the most.

Pros: Flexi hours
Cons: No challenge

Excellent learning experience

I iLiibertt I would say it's a great company to work for, I get along with almost everyone and I have learnt so many things throughout my time at liberty. I've learnt how the financial industry works, how every company has to abode by rules and regulations of the financial industry, how to be professional when dealing with clients, how there can be a balance in treating a client fairly and providing good business for the company. I enjoyed speaking to different people on a daily basis, uncovering many areas withing the organization and the financial industry in broad and the most challenging part was that we work on target and at times you would need to push yourself and work extra hours to achieve that so either that that it Is a good space.

Pros: Great place to gain experience
Cons: Normal working hours and a company that's driven by its employees and a company that seeks to help its clients at all times.

Fantastic working culture. Supportive operations team.

Liberty is a fantastic work place with opportunities to increase in revenue year on year. Their value proposition to staff is amazing supporting in my opinion the best medical aid in the form of Libcare.

Pros: Fantastic opportunities to create wealth
Cons: no basic salary and company perks follow after a 2 year tenure

Excellent learning curve and good company, however the payments don't match the work.

I am a team player and help my team mates when they need assistance. We work together for the good of our clients. I've learnt - more on the pension fund industry through our internal training. What I enjoy the most is a happy client - when I provide service and feedback to clients without comeback. Treating clients with TCF. Most Challenging - so far is member presentations.

Pros: Recognition for hard work and chances to win trips. The environment is good,
Cons: Changes for promotion are scarce.

Lots of information to take in for improving one’s scope

Greta company yo work for. The work is wuitr challenge as there’s a lot of moving oarts. The tools used are not really that great in the division i’m in, making it very stale.

Pros: Work done is great
Cons: Nothing at the moment

Qualified and experienced

Manage teams in a daily basis, ensure IT services are provided. Reporting and measurement of delivery. HR responsibilities. Enjoy engaging with people and directing initiatives. Most challenging effort is to ensure teams deliver good quality work and within required timelines. I have learnt to be strong to stick to my convictions and drive results.

Pros: Good communicator
Cons: Very detailed

Investment Specialist

I started employment in 2014 as a Finance Trainee whereby I gained knowledge of various financial systems and experience in communicating with clients professionally. My duties included daily invoicing to clients, allocation of payments, performing bank reconciliation and providing additional support to the finance staff. I later joined an insurance company as an Investment Administrator which my duties included processing section 14 transfers between retirement funds, allocation of lump sum contributions, disinvestment of monetary funds, daily trading of investment units and assisting queries telephonically or email. I was awarded a quarterly award for outstanding service rendered to our clients

Pros: Flexibility and working with different people.
Cons: Unstable remuneration.

Stumped growth

There are tons of favoritism... No equal opportunities... Heirachy roles and how people are treated.still some form of racism and lack of respect. People who have little or no management skills.. Let alone people skills are managers of teams. Many people have resigned due to poor environment and way managers deal with people

Pros: Benefits.. Medical aid
Cons: Long working hours.. Mismanagement.. Lack of respect.. No balance.
