Investment Specialist
I started employment in 2014 as a Finance Trainee whereby I gained knowledge of various financial systems and experience in communicating with clients professionally. My duties included daily invoicing to clients, allocation of payments, performing bank reconciliation and providing additional support to the finance staff. I later joined an insurance company as an Investment Administrator which my duties included processing section 14 transfers between retirement funds, allocation of lump sum contributions, disinvestment of monetary funds, daily trading of investment units and assisting queries telephonically or email. I was awarded a quarterly award for outstanding service rendered to our clients
Pros: Flexibility and working with different people.

It has been a great journey,learned a lot
Preprocessing of investment, retirement and life style polices. Worked with great individuals even though they couldn't talk to management.. To be resilent, hard work doesn't always payoff everywhere. Interacting with stakeholders It was a very strainers environment and our management didn't appreciate us

Making difference in people’s lives through learning and see them growing in their careers
Company culture is very modern and also have flexible working hours. With the remote working we then find ourselves working long hours with no pay and as a result most employees are experiencing burnout. There’s no opportunities for promotions

I have collected sufficient years of experience Employee Benefit Industry Departments, with stints from NBC, Momentum, Liberty (returned as at 01 July 2020), ABSA to mention but few. I had close to 2years management experience at ABSA, managing a team of 2 Supervisors and 5 administrations. This was effectively from 01 November 2014 to 30 September 2016, where I served in this role for full functions of management processes including, client visits and trustee’s reports presentation, systems enhancemee are 2 modules to complete in my CFP. In addition, I am B com (management student, in my second to third modules). I have been financially challenged to push this bcom into completion, I am eager to drive as soon as funds are available. I do not intend to leave the EB industry, that despite studying B com, in management accounting.

Career review
You work at yourown pace, calls. appointments and admjn. The colleagues is great but still competitive and I realised ghat people know the inportance of insurance but it is a total grudge prchase
