It's a great place for one to grow professionally
I have a very good relationship with my colleagues My typical day is filled with screening for patients in the wards if they will need OT services then do assessments. Plan for treatment and then render cost effective OT services, for those who need assistive devices I issue to them and then provide patients with home programmes I enjoy rendering OT services, no challenges yet

Excellent learning curve
Working for the Northern Cape Department of Health so far has been of great experience. Its a perfect platform for one to learn and grow. A typical day's work include me screening and answering of calls, typing of memos and letters. Other tasks of my day include answering to inquiries about the department and offer great customer service to clients. I have a good working relationship with my manager as he is a great mentor. i also have a good working relationship with other colleagues in the workplace. What i thought would be most challenging about this work was the time management issue, but I seem to have pulled it off and doing just great in that department.
Pros: This is a good company for growth and possible higher opportunities to be granted in time
Cons: Insufficient payment.

Excellent learning curve
Working as an intern for my department is challenging because as an intern you're there to learn and absorb as much knowledge as possible, but you'd find that there's no sense of urgency and people who are permanent don't prioritize and set an good example to us who are there for training. You just need to push yourself by having earger to learn, being a bit curious in a friendly and professional way and being hands-on for you to grow.
Pros: One thing i like most about my company is that there's so much work to do in different fields there for you end up learning so much and that grows you as a person and in a professional level. You learn to handle pressure and meeting deadlines
Cons: There are not so much opportunities for promotion, a person doesn't just get promoted in the department, the structure doesn't allow that.

I worked as an administrative clerk for a period of 24 months at edenvale general hospital, it is where I started my career after graduating with my diploma in marketing, it was extremely interesting as we learnt all new things in office administration work

Good
I am a very humble and hardworking person who likes to communicate well with co-workers at all times. I always engage them to my daily work programmes so that we could be in the same page and informed. Experience has taught me that every person is different and I enjoyed myself by interacting with people all the times and the most challenging part of my daily job is how to handle and manage each and every individual in the company and to guide them to the right direction.

Continuous learning and career development environment which improves ones morale or view towards career...also improving quality of services rendered..patients intake which high is one of the challenges with shortage of treatment and human resources

We always on training
Being in the industry for such long time makes want to grow and see what I'm capable of as far as work duties are concerned which to grow and learn something new.
