Lots of good things learnt
Since I've started working at Sanlam I learned how to work with other people and time management,our working hours would be 8am to 4am as field workers.. There a very good relationship that we built with my co workers because we would help each other on how to make sales and we would celebrate together when we have validated I learnt to build relationships with other people which comes with different attitude that must be tolerated friendly..I enjoy working with people very much and I first built relationship with them so that I can empathise with them.. However during this job what I never liked is when the month is not the same as other the fact that I would not get paid because of less business is very frustrating..

Good working environment
its a friendly working environment,deliveries took time and the i have learnt to persuade customers,i enjoyed reaching my target and earning my bonus! cutting off date it was too early and reaching our monthly targets was difficult

Skills developed
It is a very wonderful environment to work at and great team at death claims, I have learned a lot here, I learned to be a team player, hard work pays a lot here because good performance is the goal, stress tolerance and to work under high volume of pressure. I enjoy my work because we help those in need of funeral assistance. My challenges is that some days we are faced with a lot of claims to process within the service level agreement of paying the claim within 4 hours, so that might be my challenge for me to make sure that I pay valid claims.

Excellent
Personally, I feel that being organised is being prepared for anything. I multi-task quite well and enjoy being creative in the office environment. I strive for excellence in all areas of my life, be it work or in my personal life. I am a goal orientated person and very self-confident that I will achieve anything that I put my mind to. When I started at Sanlam I did not realise the potential hidden within myself. Since working in the Death Claims Process Office, I’ve made such an impression not only with my day to day work, but with all the ad-hoc projects management has asked me to do. The following was part of my ad-hoc projects: backlog cases of production; handled the credit accounts; assisted with the emails; did the needs analysis for the telephone team; assisted the preparers when needed; set-up of stationary on Outlook for the whole department and was the back-up for the account recon specialist.
