Unsafe working environment
I am placed at the department of correctional services to do my practicals. The exposure is there ,but the only problem is that I have to work inside thousands of prisoners. I feel unsafe working with those people.other than that, I have learnt installation of distribution board ,house wiring , fault finding on electrical circuit , maintaining pump house and substations.
Pros: there is no opportunity of promotion since i was granted an opportunity to gain experience as an electrical artisan.
Cons: i like working overtimes

Excellent working culture
I love working at Rand Water however there is not much growth in my department. I must admit that I have gained a lot of experience I the 9 years I've been there.
Pros: Lots of construction projects therefore you gain a lot of experience.

My colleagues and supervisor are amazing. They are supportive and good to learn from. They are very informative and fully loaded with more knowledge of doing their job correctly. Excellent learning curve
Preparing, planning and facilitating stakeholder engagement meetings. Assisting project managers in core project documents such as scope of work, project scheduling, project budget, quality control plan, and handover documentation. Control and monitoring of contractor's performance on plant equipment. Review electrical design and technical drawings, liaising with suppliers to obtain physical sizes and footprints of electrical equipment fit for relevant projects. Responding to contractor's queries regarding electrical drawings. Performing plant performance and condition assessment of critical electrical assets. Conducting research and proposing strategies to advise maintenance stuff on best practices to be implemented for plant optimization. Updating outdated electrical standards. Conduct factory and site acceptance tests of major electrical assets. Testing and commissioning of major electrical assets. Conducting feasibility study to generate a pre-project and investigation reports.

I have project management certificate and Human resources management certificate.
I learned how to draft measurable objectives,process flow and monitoring and evaluation. I hold a diploma in hr ,project certificate and marketing certificate.

I'm hardworking person I'm able to work underpressure my time training at Rand Water has taught me how to adhere safety plant and I have a good communication skills

Willing to grow
I am currently working at Rand Water as an Electrician. I am dealing with maintenance. I have been working for 4years now. I am looking for a new challenge where I can gain more skills and experience working with people. Other than that I have worked my whole life as a Machine Operator for PG and MAN Diesels and Turbo.
Pros: I am looking for a position that will allow me to continue learning and grow as a person and as an employee
