About what I do
I love what I'm doing now...but I need grow something bigger now. I enjoy working with people and I have a good relationship with my co-workers we became like best friends at our work place. I have learnt a lot at Netcare the position I am in now is required to have nursing background and I've managed to do it without so I've really learn a lot about medication and drugs used in theartes if patients went for operations. the challenging aspects is that you have the know all the procedures done by the Doctors and what type of drugs and instruments are used for the specific procedures.

Currently no prospects of promotion/growth. However work enviroment is condusive.
A great place to work; good relationship with co-workers. Job satisfaction comes when a difficult costumer is happy & compliments. Typical day involves scheduling appointments with doctors and other institutions. Approving of hours for agency workers. Reconcilations of accounts; liasing with other service providers.
Pros: Enjoy dealing with poeple.
Cons: No growth prospects.

I enjoy doing my job because I get to met new people every day, I've learnt a lot from it specially dealing with angry and sick people, strong team player, my job makes me get along very well with my co worker

Execellent learning
I work in one of the biggest hospital in kwazulu natal, it very busy and I get to meet new people every day, and most of the time we deal with angry patients due to their condition, so we have to be fast at what we do at all times and this helped me to learn how to multitask in a work enviroment

A brilliant way to enhance knowledge and skills
The netcare group is absolutely amazing. A typical work day is exceptionally busy with different patients and different procedures; each day has a new challenge and something interesting awaiting us. On a daily basis my day consists of assisting patients with their dental needs, booking appointments, taking payments and handling cash. I correspond on behalf of my dentists with the medical aids in order to get pre authorization for the proposed treatments that my patients need. I also work with the lab technicians regarding the work that needs to be made for the patients who require either cosmetic care or specialised dentistry, i.e. Crowns, metal frame dentures or bridges. I have a passion for the dentistry department and my work is what wakes me up every morning, it drives me to do better each and every day; knowing my patients walk out of the building with satisfaction is what we thrive on, what makes us happy and what makes us successful.

Challenging work on daily basis-working close with people of all cultures
- 12 HOUR SHIFT WORK (LONG HOURS) - VERY HELPFULL (NOT SELFISH WITH ANY KNOWLEDGE) - CARING-TEAM WORKER - ENJOY EVERYTHING THAT I DO ON DAILY BASIS (VERY DETERMINED) - WORKING IN ALL AREAS OF THE COMPANY (DEPARTMENTS)
Pros: opprtunities of promotions are very rare unless applying for the specific post, depending on experience and qualifications
Cons: 12 hour shift-very long hours

About myself
I think I've gained a lot of experience here at Netcare as the position I'm in now requires nursing background and I've managed to fill this position without that qualification...I am very thankful that Netcare gave me that opportunity and I'm proud of myself. I work very well in a team as well as individual and I love to work with the public. I really enjoy my work but looking for a new challenge and expand my wings. I get a long with my co-workers this place wouldn't be the same without them its like we best friends. What I enjoy most about my job is the complicated files that I have to deal with...like when patients prosthesis are billed incorrectly than we have search for the problem and bill the item correctly.
Pros: Need opportunity to grow and benefits.
Cons: 8 hours a day

Opportunity to learn and explore
Good relationship with co- workers , shared managerial duties and administration. Not much experience but I would take any opportunity I get in order to grow and explore

Knowledge is key
I started at Umhlanga as a volunteer. After 4 months I started working in reception, later on I worked at the I'D derpartment, a year later I moved to debtors and ended up as a Creditors clerk. I have learned a lot at NETCARE. I wann grow the knowledge that I have by moving forward, trying new things
Pros: netcare is such a big company. you get to work with not diff people and I can also learn a lot
Cons: less chance for getting promoted
