Enthusiasm on learning new things

I have been in a banking Industry for over 7years in varies department as explained in my cv ans would like to continue with my career path. I was a Personal loan consultant foe over a year, then became a Salws consultant for over 4yrs then after my great performance I was offered a position in Private banking and have never looked back ever since.

Circle of corporate life

I've been at Nedbank for the past 22 years and the work environment is constantly changing and growing. I started in an open plan back office with our own desks ,to getting my own office ,to now working in a complete open plan office. Either way I enjoy working in teams or by myself, and have no hidden agendas. I have an open and easy communication with all my collegues from technical to executive management. I've learn't over the years to listen and always communicated and question. The most challenging sometimes is to get a technical person to communicate to a business person on an issue. It is usually where a BISO is most helpfull. I have found that being positive and open to all ideas ,cultures and characters makes your work day more fruitful.

Excellent interpersonal skills

My key responsibilities are to oversee the Services Management Team. Ensure that legislation/compliance changes are fully implemented and adhered to. Manage projects like system changes ensuring implementation and execution. Weekly and monthly feedback to the provincial team on goals/target progress. Ensure that new customer onboardings runs smooth and clients are satisfied. Client visits ensuring client relationships are kept healthy and client complaints are attended to. Vendor payments, ordering of stationery, ordering of bank assets such as laptops, desktops and cell phones. Daily reconciliation of the regions general ledger accounts. Oversee some sales functions ensuring daily tasks are attended to. I I am well-presented with good interpersonal skills. Enjoy working with customers, to meet challenging expectations and to create a high-performance culture. Have a passion to grow people to achieve own goals and company goals.

Excellent learning curve

The company is great place for learning and has a great corporate culture. My typical work day requires acquiring new clients for the business through opening of accounts, understanding the needs of a client and provide financial advise to them in terms of bank products such as investment retail products, credit provision, overdrafts, loans , home loans. In the late afternoon or in the morning i do admin. I obviously use a lot of systems to process and review my productivity. I have learnt how to deal with different clients, work as a team and acquired knowledge on banking products and systems. Most challenging part of my job is obtaining new clients for the business, this involves phoning random people or client base, going out. what I enjoy the most would be using different systems and solving client problems.

cheerful personality build relationships with staff. self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly allowing me to network with various stakeholders being able to mentor, educate and develop staff. loyalty and trust help build relationships. My success within segments gave me opportunities to climb the ladder. A proven track record, loyal individual. 8 years banking. Ability to close deals at any level and acquire primary banking clients. 2 years’ experience in specific job being applied for. i Manage investment performance and trends. Networking with the BM's acquire leads. Structure deals. Navigating websites, resolving prodct and service related issues for clients and achieving goals. Intricate deal closing. Challenging aspects when poor economic and market conditions affect investment strategies that directly impacted client’s outcome myself having the ability to deal with tough conversations. Clients medical conditions affecting outcome of applications.

Pros: My intention was always to move into a specialist role and sharing the wealth of knowledge i acquired to make deals happen including growing market share for any company i am employed with.
Cons: The role does however come with certain challenges which can impact lifestyle and family time. Working long hours is the nature of the job. My circumstances are able to accommodate this. However in order to achieve ones goals certain sacrifices unfortunately have to be made for ones progress.

Good company culture

The culture here is excellent, you feel at home. Every day is very much hectic. 8 Hours is just not enough, the work is too much. The managers are not all good. I think 70% of them lack management skills because they are recruited based on experience and not given training on how to deal with people. My colleagues are friendly and hardworking, we get along just fine. I enjoy new challenges in my work, but I don't like being taken advantage of, with an excuse of giving me exposure.

Pros: Exposure to the world of Compliance
Cons: No appreciation for hardwork. The pay does not match the job.
