My working experience

A typical work day at Merchants would be arriving to work 30 minutes earlier than your shift to log into the system then have a team meeting to motivate us on striving for the best customer service to our customers and still maintain an excellent Performance Result Daily, Weekly and Monthly. My relationship with my co-workers are fantastic! We are always understanding to one another and supportive. We do not allow each other to fail. Instead we always give and take advise. I enjoy assisting the customers to my ability and hearing they are happy with my service after a stressful day is exactly what i enjoy the most. My most challenging aspects are that as customer care consultants we are unable to promote ourselves due to lack of higher opportunities. In the call center environment i have learnt to always be happy and never take irate customers personal as it could ruin my precious day. As well as great customer care service.

I do admin, Lead a team, send hourly stats, deal with customers.

I was one of the top performing Agent on floor since I started working at Mobile Money I have been assisting customers to my best ability , going an extra mile to put a smile on the customers face and I also regard myself as a Team Player. I recently got promoted to acting Team Leader, leading a group of 8 people. But in a call centre environment you can be a team leader for the whole call centre. It would be a pleasure to have interview with you and I look forward to hear from you soon.

Pros: Because of my hard work i a promotion. i was employed 24months of employment (Call Center Agent) i was promoted to team leader
Cons: I can deal with long hours.

Excellent learning curve

Working at Merchants is very nice because you get to learn and experience many things in different department. The environment itself is very good its we are family but sometimes I feel like the management side is lacking most of the skills, sometimes they cross boundaries.

I have learned a lot at merchants

I want to go far like growing in the company cause i am a hard working person and i enjoy what i am doing most of the time.and i love working with people and the team building its the key to make the company grow

My ecperince with a call center

I like the working environmet, there are learning opportunities as, one gets a chance to grow in knowledge and self development. They do training on new products evry now and then. Its just the working hours that are challenging, how ever i would say they need to train the team leaders , some of them dn't know how to speak to agents, no respect at all. I enjoy working with my team, we have unity and support for one onother. We do a lot of team building activities outside work and it's fun. otherwise its really is a good company. We have attence incentive of r200 only, i think there should be more especially with the long hours we work.

Bad Management Style at iSelect

I am wanting to leave because of management at iSelect. People is said to come first but they don't really. The new GM has no people management style and is very lethargic. Not also forgetting manipulative. Instead of working together towards an objective he works against you. He gives you work just to keep you busy rather than giving you tasks to be effective and efficient.

Pros: No more pros after previous management left
Cons: Plenty under this new GM at iSelect

Great place to work and learn

Have qualification for this post

I have 4years customer care expirience at bytes and currentely working at merchant.I can work underpressure.I know how to manage time im not a person who like to be late for starting time at work and absentisim is not my things. I can work extra mile .It is nice to work at merchats as im working with people.solving their quries;helping with general problems .loging resquest for customers,locking sim and phones.dealing with invoices and statements.my relationship with co worker its a very good one.giving best customer service is what im enjoying to do .the challenges is when i have to wait 48hours for the back office to attend the request.
