I enjoy solving customers queries. Working with colleagues that motivate me is what I regard as a good relationship between myself and co-workers. I have learnt to be independent and to take ownership in every decision that I make at work and in my personal life. The most challenging aspect of my job as customer service agent is to deal with an irate customer.

Lots of growth.

Merchants is one company that doesn't require experience, as they equip each employee with one. Because it's an outsourcing company you'd find that some clients may pull out and leave a lot of employees stranded, but since merchants has a lot of clients they are able to still provide jobs for those certain individuals. Hence I mentioned "Lots of Growth".

Pros: A great learning curve.
Cons: Shifts and less pay

Excellent working experience

On a typical day I take calls from Vodacom customers who need help with their handset device, Sim Card and network connection. I am in a team of 14 agents and one team leader. I have learned to be patient with customers and not to lose my temper when dealing with an irate customer. And to always focus on resolving the customer's query so that the customer can be happy with my service. I enjoy working flexible hours. The most challenging aspect of the job is staying calm when the customer is insulting you on the other end of the line.

Learn a lot concerning the customer financial background

I was working with the customer .checkin that we give the right information to a right person dealing with the confidentiality financially. The environment was very comforterble and the love of our team leader.and very understanding

Pros: Great incentives every month if you worked hard

Learning experience

Sometimes it gets busy especially when doing product updates. I get along well with my co-workers also learnt on how to deal with different types of customers.

KNOWLEDGE

I deliver a good service to vodacom users/customers by resolving queries for customers who experience problems about their sim card.i work in an environment where we being are grouped by different teams so that we can reach/provide the best service to our customers.To assist customers/individual or solving problems it improves the level of engaging with people,identifying and finding solutions, learn the manner of approaching so that you can resolve.i enjoy communicating,helping and also give back to those who seek for assistance by resolving their problems.I work in an environment where you work so hard,work flexible hours,contribute most of my time at work in such a way that you dont spend time with family and the salary is not satisfying at all,however,it can me the basic needs.

Pros: It is rare to ger the promotion because we are many,even if you can have many years working there.It is hard for the seniors to acknowledge our hard working
Cons: I work flexible hours and shift where by i dont have a permanent shift.

The envirenvironment around the company am working on

The company I am working on currently is very friendly environment nice place to work on ,my colleuge are very supportive to one another and we work as team, mostly challenging things is when recieving a high volume of calls, what I have learn is patients and communication and multitasking and what I enjoyed most is being around my team and to best to our daily jobs on customers service

Excellent learning curve

At merchants( vodacom customer care) I used to take calls from prepaid customers and help them out their data problems , missing airtime and also phone activations. I had avery good relationship with my co-workers from the supervisor to other agents even the maintanance stuff. I have learnt so much about handling irrate customer queries over the phone . I enjoyed the problem solving experience i had there and also the opportunity to educate clients about products and services that the vodacom company has to offer. The most challenging aspect of the job was dealing with angry customers who does not even want to hear any explanation from the agent but i am glad to say that i managed them very well.

Excellent learning curve

Great people and the company has great values. My typical workday starts by sending my morning update reports on yesterdays performance. I then have a meeting with my manager to review the reports, update her any new challenges or potential risks we might face durinb the day. I then go through my emails for all escalations that need to be sent to the client from our side or any escalations from the clint to us. I also go through all the errors picked by myself, our QA department or the client. I investigate eaxh error and provide feedback as to the cause of the error and what corrective measure have I done to prevent this from happening again I.e. coaching or disciplinary steps. I have daily coaching sessions with my team so as to try and manage the quality level of my team

Cons: All the opportunities of the company are not readily available to us or explained to us.
