Good working experience

It is a good learning experience, too different from working af the clinics .Shift leading and student coaching is challenging but fun as well.Having to deal with diverse cultures has also taught me a lot. And having to be dealing with computers as a nurse was hard at first but it was something new and now it's something I'm not scared of .

Pros: Good leadership experience
Cons: Language barrier specifically Afrikaans

Great at collection strategies

It's great working with a team that is at the same level as you are, we interact with all other departments withing the Accounts Receivable department which is great as we learn of other functions and developing of relationships. I love working with my team and the fact the we work on the level of what our management team requires of us. The challenges we have are customers in which we try our best to keep satisfied.

Pros: Opportunity for growth
Cons: Limited staff

Life of a category manager

I get to work when some people are waking up. I get to my desk and open my e-mails to see what has happened the last few hours. Work on Excel spread sheets most of the day and find items, correct prices and other stock issues on the operating system. Have departmental meetings and document supplier meetings. The other category managers and I have a morning greet and moan about the day that is lying ahead as we don't know what ball will be thrown at us today. I have learnt that it doesn't matter what people think of you, just as long as you do what is required. And when you don't worry what the other people think, you build working relationships with the suppliers and staff members. I enjoy working with numbers and finding the miss match if there is a problem to balance. The most challenging part of this job is to find an alternative supplier that passes all the departments requirements. I will be sad to say farewell to the place as I have been here for a long time.

Pros: Opportunity for promotion or department change.
Cons: Long hours (working and after hours) and it is hard work

With 7 years’ experience in the Human Resources field, I can fully confirm that my irrefutable passion lies with all these aspects of Industrial Psychology. This is also cemented by my qualifications in the field. With complete honesty, dedication and loyalty as part of my virtues, I wish to plough my human resource knowledge and passion back into the field and empower my colleagues, peers and subordinates. I am seeking an organisation where I can align my virtues and values and where I can quench my thirst for personal growth and be part of a greater group identity.

Pros: Challenging
Cons: No opprotunities for growth
