I love working with number. i look forward to a typical day at work because I do a lot of adhoc reporting. Lancet has given me many opportunities and i have come as far as i cam. I have build an excellent team over the years. The most challenging is the limited resources.

Its a good stepping stone to learn
Im a hard worker. Im fun to work with but also driven to succeed. You can learn so much at lancet. They give you endless training to succeed. I have been there for two years and im in line for a supervisor role. I am now able to train others in our line of work.

Challenging enviroment and a good learning curve. Very busy and requires high attention to detail
Its fast pace environments that requires concentration and working very long hours..There is so much growth n so much to learn. Requires working under pressure and in a team to achieve a great turn around time.

Excellent learning experience
Great company, with excellent exposure to many different departments. Never a boring day cause you're always seeing or learning about something new ,the environment is extremely stressful considering that it's people's lives at risk so there is no room for error so it reaches you how you work well in hight pressure situations, remain focused on your tasks at hand while multi tasking, you learn a sense of great responsibility and how you calmly handle any and every situation you may be put in. Excellent management.

Not suitable for growth individually and skills
It has long hours and short breaks. Same challenges everyday. No growth opportunities industrial wise. We have good team work with colleagues. Well you get to learn a lot about different types of deases and viruses that attack our country. You learn a lot about the medical profession

Great learning curve, great opportunities for growth and training
great working environment,. Training is offered for growth opportunities, great benefits such as medical aid subsides, UIF & Pension Fund. Great culture. What I enjoy most about working for Lancet Laboratories is that as an employee you are always given support in terms of performing to the best of your ability.

Would like to earn more
I have a BSC in IT and hopefully i can get a job that suits my cureent qualifications and salary. I have a good relationship wit my co-workers. We are able to complete tasks on time. We have call outs which I am assisted by a senior technician. Sometimes the jobs can be challenging if parts are not available or not the problem is not logged in accurately. I have learnt how to deal with difficult people and how to get problems solved in much quicker time. Everything that i have acheived is by hard work and endurance.
Pros: I get to meet different people when i am out on call. I do have a mentor that supports me and guides me when i am not sure about anything. That i am very greatful for as you dont get that at many companies
Cons: I would appreciate respect from the bosses and recognition for what i am doing. Staff should be spoken with respect and not with rudeness or arrogance. Bosses should motivate staff and instead of always being negative. Thats what demotivates a person and make the work place unpleasant to be at

Diverse matters
I am the Forensic Audit Manager and delay with all the the entities country wide as well as the Africa sites. I deal with anything from non compliance, advisory, investigations in all areas Lancet deals with ( procurement,cash, fleet, HR...etc) At any given day I have at least 30 cases after various complexities that I deal with. So multi tasking and being able to work on more than one case is crucial. I enjoy the diversity as there is just no routine.
