Being employed by the eThekwini Metro has anabled me to discover my greatest strength which are Solid organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, work under pressure, coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines under stringent time constraints, efficiency and attention to detail.

II gained a wealth of knowledge
Working at this organisation is not very conducive in the sense that one there is no room for growth. the top levels are very heavy and there's not many positions or middle management. Unfortunately, due to internal politics my development in this organisation is stifled. My typical work day is full of interactions with management, staff, clinic committee, community health workers, community health facilitators, doctors, pharmaceutical staff, environmental staff, social development. I have an excellent relationship with co workers and seniors including subordinates. I have learnt a lot over the years and I love sharing my knowledge and skills to other employees. the most challenging aspect of the job is communicating with line management and obtaining resources to enable the department to function optimally.

There are nice people I learnt alot from them Switchboard Data capturing Minutes taking Reports Reception duties such as welcoming guest and help them where my help is needed

Ambitions and willing to learn kind of a person
i'm currently working under for payroll department . we are doing payroll for Treasury cluster and supply chain management . i have 6 staff under my supervision with i look after and i have trained six of them . we have become a good team over the years i have learn to work with different kind of people and i understand the diversity on how to deal with people from irreverent culture and always be professionalism. i have enjoyed working with payroll and i have been in so many challenges that comes with being in payroll in terms of dealing with difficult customers and unions in resolving staff issues. in Payroll we are deadline oriented and with are guided by policy and standard procedure which i relate it to. i believe i can be an asset into your company or organisation .

Cons: i can be flexible in terms of the shift.

I have learnt that seeking assistance always help
I come earlier than working time because the supervisors in my section mostly request for me to do customer's accounts reconciliation though its not in my duties but i like to learn more so they also ask of me to consolidate their reports from the stuff members and review it using RMS, VALUE ASSIST AND COINS where I'll also update or add any missing information on the given data. I do all this using excell and Outlook. The most challenging part of this work is when i have to use the municipal procedures following the principles to collect debts from the deceased estate properties because usually clients will respond in a very inhuman manor.
Pros: In my position we do not have any kind of promotion but if there was any, i would earn it and not fight for it because we usually loose work values and objectives when chasing promotions.
Cons: I don't mind working longer hours because we usually say all good things before getting a job but end up not doing what was said in the interview or CV, so just do exactly what say i can and will. In short i always put my work first.

Excellent learning experience
Meeting with managers to understand what they need in their departments. Using the provided templates to create some documentation. Working with the development team to ensure that the requirements are met. Doing functional testing on the test environment. Teaching the client the new software after it has been completed and signed off.

Excellent learning Curver
Very professional environment and capable colleagues. Absolutely system driven and always on time in all departments.The work place culture is based on mutual respect. They give you enough opportunity to enhance your skills as much as you can. If you are not happy with the working environment you are more than welcome to voice your concern and it will be taken into consideration. As I was an Intern I received very good training throughout and I experienced a lot and improved and advanced on my skills especially computer skills e.g excel and spreadsheet as i was also taught how to prepare presentations, and how to coordinate events I worked closely with the management.

Cons: As an Intern upon completion of your contract full employment is not guaranteed
