Production Manager review
1. Outputs as a Unit Production Manager at Eskom Holdings DEVELOP AND OPTIMISE MEDIUM TERM PRODUCTION PLAN • Give inputs into the station’s yearly production plan taking into consideration planned outages, demand requirements, plant conditions, technical plan projects etc. • Identify power plant operational problems, initiate investigations to quantify the impact on production and possible production losses. • Monitor actual production, analyse plans. • Analyse production plan and determine possible over / under supply of primary energy. Implement actions to address issues. • Identify, evaluate and pursue lowest cost options and supplies of additional prime energy. Analyse requirements taking into account e.g reliability of supply, environmental impact, and legal obligations.

Eskom is a wonderful environment to work at one get to learn a number of different jobs not only those that one qualified for but get to learn about other fields. Work culture is outstanding every day everyone is willing to help and do what's best for the company to move Foward despite all the bad press and media people are still u eat and willing to work to the

The best place to gather knowledge
I assist the senior technical officer with the daily job such as Kline inspection, cable joints, fault finding etc. I'm a team player and I get along very well with my colleagues. I value safety and I'm punctual.

Excellent learning curve
Eskom is a very nice and exciting company to work for but there was no place for growing within eskom. The people working there are very friendly and dont need bosses or managers to stand behind them doning our work. We all worked well together. I just didnt like that some did all the work while others sit around and walked around all day.
