Being able to work under pressure

My company was an excellent company to work for which provides opportunities for growth in my career. Most challenging about the job was having unpredictable work days

World class technology.

We have a very close relationship in the work place. We work as a team and bring each other up to speed if they lack. I enjoy working at Sasol because all tools and equipment required to do a job are provided by the company. training is also provided and senior support. I enjoy most the togetherness of the employees. Everyone works together for one purpose and that is to sustain the company. I have learnt so much. Most is working under Typical day at work would be to do some system checks on the control systems in the plant and complete job cards which are drawn by plant area managers.

Pros: Learning and growing opportunities are plentiful.
Cons: Air smells polluted.

Exceptional worker,and highly technical and proffessional.I am also disciplined.

It is always dynamic and interesting to work with people and process related equipment, cause these forever troubleshooting and learning My working hours are long but also effective for a person attending school and working at the same time These enough development opportunities and growth if one is really interested.

Shutdown/project planner

: - Follow 7 steps of planning i.e. Identify Work, Prioritize Work , Plan Work, Schedule Work, Execute Work, Work Order Feedback and Work Order status Control. - Arrange kick off meeting for project and Shutdowns - Determine the Scope of work - Do plant walks - Plan according to FEL (Front End Loading) - Draw up Task Lists, network diagram and do Data processing - Plan Shutdowns and projecs using Artemis, SAP systems and MS Project - Upload and down load work orders on SAP - Create sub work orders on SAP - Schedule and Co-ordinate shutdown/project plan according to the critical path method - Execute Shutdowns and Projects - Administrate shutdown and project planning activity - Update Data base - Arrange after Shutdown/Project Post Mortem - Implement corrective measures for future Project and Shutdowns

Working with different people is a learning curve, teaching me how to deal with different type of people and accommodate their diversity and grow as a person.

Fast leaner and open to learning new thing in the industry

Electrical maintenance and repair of lights. Rotating machines , cable jointing up to 3.3kv , working on dc machines,fault finding , read and draw electrical schematics ,

Learnt a lot, Totally different from Property environment, or Banking

Staring at 7:00 am till 16:00 pm Do have an awesome relationship with the co-workers, mainly black people. I do need to have this relationship because I do training everyday with them. I did learn so many things about this company, it is totally different from Property business and Banking. I do enjoy the heartbeat of this company very much. And to see the progress of the students. The most challenging when I did start here in 2010 was that no one of the students did have NQF2,3,4 qualification , and is was my tasked to help them getting it. The percentage of competencies were only 15% and this stage it is 98%, During this period there are always coming new students and that have a big influence on the percentage of competency total at the end.

Pros: Alway a challenge every day and working towards a higher level

Insure that 200 Sasol vehicles are in secured your place vehicles it is critical for business, and each vehicle are fitted with a tracking device.

Qualified Boilermaker

I'm a qualified boilermaker with supervision experience. I'm able to do fabrication and repairs and able to interpret drawings. I'm able to maintain good quality standards. I adhere to health and safety standards. I'm able to work both as a team and individual.
