Exposure to the the rail and Continous improvement industry
Working at Transnet Freight Rail as a young professional in training has given me the opportunity to learn more about the rail industry as well as how to use the Lean six sigma methodology providing training for different employees has taught me to be confident and work well with others. The most challenging thing about my job is having to lead employees that have more experience than you,it gives you presssure

Hard working
My name is Frans Moima, i see the post and by looking at it, it match my duties as i busy studying Programme is supply. Best Employee
I always plan my work for the day by having a daily work specific talk before we start working, by having site specific talk, site risks assessment and site safety specific talk. Before we plan work for the day, we always talk about the work that we are going to do and talk about working safely and finish it on time. Most challenging part of my job is to make sure that trains run without any delays at all time.

This has been a great learning and working experience as it was a graduate programme
- most of the day we would deal with customer queries an try to handle customer complaints - my relationship with my co-workers was really good as we supported each other and all worked well to ensure that we deliver the best service to our customers. - i have learnt that with a big company you have to work hard always be on time - i enjoyed when customers would compliment us on the work or service provided to them. - the most challenging was to handle difficult customers

Learning initiatives
responding to urgent emails. activities for the day and screening calls, arranging meetings and ensuring that end of the day most of what I had set out for the day has been attended to. I am a fast learner and anything I put my mind to I can do. I am a born leader therefore I do not wait for opportunities to arise, but create them myself, try to be able to learn what others are doing in their project and initiate growth for myself. when there are deadlines that have been set but in a group you work in different paces thus making it harder to meet deadlines.

Gained tremendous experience especially in that specific industry
A typical day at work starts off busy and then things slow down towards the end of the day. I had a good relationship with mostly my managers and got along with colleagues. I learned that you need to just concentrate on your work and don't concentrate on what people say. What was hard for me was how slow things moved at my company, to get things moving was a mission.

When you work, work all the time you work.
I enjoyed the people I worked with. It was a friendly and fun atmosphere and I actually enjoyed going into work each morning. I felt the leadership team was great as well. They knew all of their employees on a first name basis and tried to make those personal connections. I also enjoyed that fact that the office tried to do community outreach with local organizations. As a new employee in the Engineering world, the company offered me a great opportunity for a good entry level position – one that I’ll always be grateful for. However, after being there for so many years, I felt I was not able to reach my full potential because of a real lack of challenge. There really was no room for advancement in the company. While I did enjoy working there and appreciate the skills I developed while with the company, I feel my skill set can be better utilized elsewhere, where my capabilities are more recognized and there is the opportunity for growth.

Great opportunity
Diversified environment, lots of learning and growth. I love the fact that I can make a difference in the lives of employees from all age groups as well as the fact that I can contribute to the achievement of the company's market demand strategy.

Great learning Curve
I learnt a lot things because I got involved in the projects whereby I monitor them on a day to dat basis while I capture minutes and provide whatever assistance the other party needed from us. I'm also hands on in operations in doing stack dates for the customers prior to when the vessel open according to when our stack closes here at the terminal. I also amend containers to verify if their departed or still within the terminal. I also learn how to plan trains There are also few trainings that I attended as well.
