Excellent learning institution
My company is cutting edge organisation which believes in developing employees and I love working with different people from different background. My typical work day: To collect financial and non-financial information from all public sector institutions in RSA. Perform in depth analysis. Compile quarterly and annual statistical releases. Prepare presentation and clearance documents for top management and present the results to external and internal stakeholder. My day to day activities is challenging as we depend on respondent to supply information data if they do not supply it on time, I have to leave everything in the office and help them so not to miss my deadline. Working in an office environment means having to deal with all different kinds of people; and sometimes getting along with all of them can be a bit of a challenge, and when people are hard to deal with, it can lead to slower productivity and missed deadlines. I have a good working relationship with my colleagues and my superiors.

Career development
The advertisement fits my profile in terms of the key responsibilities outlined.ive been working in the Department of Statistics South Africa where my main duties were to manage the day to day activities of the project one of the biggest project in Statistics SA. . I have national diploma in office management and technology (TUT), Certificate in Project Management, Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation, Business Writing and currently studying towards completing my B-Tech in Project Management with TUT and studying Information and Technology with Unisa. I have a 7 years experience in project management, Monitoring and Evaluation, training, administration and coordination management. This position is a good opportunity for me to develop my skills. I knows I have a personal drive commitment and can do attitude. I know I have the capacity and determination to the job and where I am unable I enable myself because I believe in culture of continuous learning.

Great exposure to data output
My work environment requires me to work in a team as we work with complex and large data sets.And I have to communicate findings with different internal and external stakeholders in order to meet their needs. I enjoy the challenges of collecting data at households and making that information tell a story about the living conditions of south Africans.There is so much outputs that can be produced from one survey and my current role exposed me to that. The most challenging aspects is that data collected is from households and we request sensitive information such as income and health, people do not react well.We collect sensitive information thus have to deal with lots of refusals and resistance from the respondents.

The situation is suffocating and mundane due to lack of growth.
I visit different areas for enumeration which includes +/- 30households per day for enumeration driving about 200 km per day. I liaise with different stake holders and come back to the office to report back on number of responses I have attained.
Pros: Interacting with different people.
Cons: Long hours and lack of growth.

Deputy Director: HRM&D
My work entails lot of communication and interaction with employees such as Line Managers, Supervisors and Chief Directors. I provide them with HR related advises on various aspects of HRM such as performance management, handling of disputes and grievances, leave management as well as compliance to relevant legislative framework. My relationship with my client and co-workers is a good one even though there are instances where sometimes we don't have same views to different things. At the end of the day I encourage and accept positive engagement with the view of reaching to a common understanding for the betterment of our organisation. I enjoy engaging with my colleagues regarding various aspects of our work and research on the things that we found to be challenging, so that we can keep abreast of the changing world and technology. The most challenging aspect of my job is that employees and management depend on my expertise on the areas of HRM and I need to always be on point.

Cons: Our department is project orientated and demands lot of courage and working long hours

Exploring and learning
My reviews are , the campay is big nd lots of opportunities if u a frim outside, u get to learn lots of things but the is no growth for someone inside the department, you do the samething for many years until you becime bored.....

Great hard worker.
