I operate at different levels of the survey/statistical value chain, from planning (stakeholder consultation, questionnaire design etc.), data collection (desktop research and actual fieldwork), data processing (maintaining internal capturing systems), data analysis and report writing (or report using presentations) on several industries in the south African economy such as Mining, retail, wholesale, manufacturing, agriculture to mention a few. I also train staff members including interns on research/survey methodology.

Learning curve
I am currently working as a principal economist at Statistics South Africa. My responsibilities are and not limited to; conducting research and providing input on formulation of economic policies to improve short term economic indicators. I am a resourceful and ambitious economist with extensive understanding of economic theory and its practical implications. Excellent
A typical work day its a conflict where you have to get to the bottom of the problem from both parties analysed the problem and if you find you can be able to solve it solve it but if you find that it is over yor powerbtake it to anither level, i am a eople person who likes to build relationship, have learn that working with your organisation will give the opportunity to learn the job the way you want it done not the way i believe it is done, i enjoy what i am doing but i can also grownintobnew positions, i am very good at what i do but in the computer field there are always new tools and technologies coming out, the most challenging is when you dont encourage the department not to work as a team

MY REVIEW
iTS A GREAT JOB i ENJOYED WORKING HERE BUT ITS TIME FI have been instrumental in the development of the LAW (Land Administration Web) Spatial component which allows users and stakeholders to visualise IAR information on a web platform. My role in this regard being the collection, management and incorporating of the spatial data element into the LAW Spatial system. This involves liaising with the system development service provider to create and update new functionality on to the system as well as to debug and troubleshoot system glitches. OR CHANGE

Great opportunity for development
Even though working under pressure but that has made me tpgrow and to enjoy my work so much the only thing that is challenging is that my family is in Durban so most of the time I take leave to attend to family issues

Favourable working hours. We get to work at our own favourable working hours. We worked unsupervised. Company provided training so there was no experience needed. We Equipment was given for work so it was comfortable we didn't struggle. They provided the reflectors that had company logo so we were easily identified

I have learned a lot of things from my experience.
our soul responsibility is to provide the statistical information to state entities relating to economical standards of the state. i serve the department in the capacity of finance by providing the support of payments to vendors as well as internal clients.

Learning everyday
I'm responsible for managing a team of researchers/economics, A typical day involves planning, budgeting, reviewing research material. I learn everyday in my job given that the research work is diverse and changes every year.
