KPMG Reviews

I adapt to change very well

I adapt to change very well and I am willing to learn. I learn very quick and tend to work at a fast pace. I was rated highly effective for my engagement reviews during my articles and was retained by the firm as a result. I am passionate about financial accounting and compliance with reporting standards

Pros: Great work ethics and a culture of respect for every individual
Cons: Long working hours and limited flexible hours

HR Manager

I have developed excellent working relationships with all my co workers at all levels. No day is the same in my role. It is extremely challenging and busy every day. I attend a lot of meetings and deal with numerous HR queries on a daily basis. It is a highly pressurized and busy role and I work over and above my normal call of duty on weekends, overtime even if I am on annual or sick leave (which is very seldom).

Pros: Great Culture
Cons: Extremely busy role

Excellent learning curve and getting exposed to different opportunities

My relationship with my colleagues was good because we knew why we were the and we all supporting each other and I have learnt so much things when it comes on being a Technician and was exposed to many different opportunities and one of my highlight is being exposed to server room. The most challenging impact of the job was interacting with the customers as I was supposed to assist the customers with the problem they are encountering so when I arrived there I knew nothing about customer service but as time goes on I was thought and I started enjoying communicating with the customers.

Pros: Great supporting team
Cons: Long working hours

Day at the Office

A typical working day would start at 6am to perform self assessment for the work performed the previous day than go on to performing the additional work for the day( field work, draft report, reviewing junior colleagues work etc.) the day would normally end at 6pm.I have a wonderful relationship with my colleagues and really enjoy giving on the job training as well as motivating them to reach deadlines. I have learned how to perform data analytics, performance information audits, performance audits as well as risk workshops. I enjoy meeting different clients in different industries. The most challenging aspects of my job is that it is very deadline driven therefore long hours need to be put in.

Pros: great opportunity for diverse clients
Cons: Slow growth

Great learning curve and an opportunity to practice my language skills.

At the moment I am working for the ethics line, so I am in charged of translating Spanish reports into English as well as giving the callers feedback regarding their reports in Spanish. I work with a team of other call agents that specialize in other languages and we work together in order to resolve caller's concerns. I have learnt to deal with daily deadlines as well as working with people who are often aggravated over customer service and ethics issues. The most challenging aspect is calming down individuals who have issues and getting them to divulge sensitive information.

Pros: Great working experience.
Cons: Not much room for growth, long hours and no benefits.

Hard worker, quick learner, can work individually or in a team.

I work and support about over 3000 KPMG employees. Support ranges from Software to Hardware, remote, telepathically or Face to Face and they range from Office 365 to Activate Directory to Asset Management to SLA queries. I also do induction technical training and introduction to new users. I do this on a weekly and yearly basis (when we have a high number of new joiners). I work in a 2 man team (reduced from 5) and even though the work load is more, I still enjoy the job. The most challenging aspects of the job is dealing with a very rude manager. We recently started working with a new manager and I can get a long with all types of people but I cannot work with a rude manager. This is the only challenging part of my job.

Pros: Recognition and rewards, promotions, growth
Cons: Unscheduled long working hours, weekend work.
