Great learning experience.
Good learning opportunities. Work a 7a.m to 19p.m shifts. Good relationship with fellow staff. Learned problem solving especially when staff is a minimum. I enjoy giving health education, inserting drips, etc. I enjoyed learning and being challenged in unexpected and critical situations e.g resuscitation in the Accident and Emergency unit.

Great learning curve
Working at the Gauteng department of Health was really a learning curve for me since i started out as an intern and then got offered a contract afterwards. Also working closely with the Chief Director of supply chain was a bit challenging, but at the end of the day i got the job done. Working together with my co-workers was what i really enjoyed most because we helped each other wgen faced with a challenge.
Pros: Great opportunity for an intern
Cons: Lack of resources

Excellent learning curve
, prepaIt is a great place to equip one to grow within their work field. It is one of the busiest hospitals thus always giving you the ability to tackle different issues. One gets to deal with doctors and patient complains and the media involvement thereof. Apart from that we get most of our directorate from the national office, that too has its own challenges and also very impactful on learning on how to deal with very high profiled stakeholders. ring you for a more intense work space
Pros: opportunity for growth
Cons: works on weekends

Excellent team builder and leader
I'm a fun loving person who loves working hard. I don't tolerate incompetence, I believe in working towards improving yourself no matter the circumstances or difficulties. I know and believe that I am a good leader. I always lay a foundation to build on., do that and you will always be great and ready for all that comes your way. Lack of growth is a problem where I work, not enough opportunities for young people and not enough change to help build the institution or make life easier for all.
Pros: Exposure
Cons: Lack of opportunities

Great working environment
It's a good working and learning environment. On a typical work day we radiograph patients from different clinics with different illnesses. We have a healthy working environment with my co-workers. I have learnt a lot about Radiography, and how to run an xray department. I enjoy interacting with patients more than anything else, lending an ear when they need someone to talk to. The most challenging aspect is learning to get along with every different character that comes to the hospital, being polite in adverse situations.
Pros: Decent working hours
Cons: No days off

I mostly enjoy the interaction with the patients and my colleagues
The gauteng department of health is a government employer there isn’t much room for growth or promotion and the hours are not flexible However the job security and benefits are good I could not see why I am typing in this section as the text was white on a white background
Pros: Working with a hardworking team of doctors and really feeling like you are making a difference
Cons: Long working hours. Lots of politics
