Great learning experience,

The food lovers i worked for was bad . I dont know a out other food lovers markets but the one I worked for was really bad the boss mistreated us fined us a huge amount from our salaries I ended up getting 1k which it was for transport only and it was really bad??

Pros: Great opportunity for promoting

The company has been a good one, until they cancel overtime this year

I had a great relationship with the co-workers, management and customers. I've learned how to communicate with different people, how to handle the pressure of both customers and management. What I've enjoyed most is helping the customers. The challenging aspects is to work long hours and don't get paid for

Pros: I had the opportunity to do some of the managers work like, ordering stork for my department, doing markdowns if the products expiry date its close
Cons: The company cut out the overtimes, which sometimes the shop can be busy that we don't get to finish to work on time.

Excellent service

Interacting with different kind of people each and everyday,it taught me how handle difficult customers,how to handle an irate customers and also how to provide good services to customers

Pros: Getting promoted can actually encourage myself in the organization

I have learned that if you are not a hard worker you shall not prosper

My day starts off with calculating daily targets for all different departments. Filling of waste and transfers of each department. Answering of phne calls checking emails for customer complaints.

Pros: gain knowledge and excited for different challenges

Learning curve

Working at food lovers market is nice in a way that u see different people everyday, and u get to learn how to deal with every kind of people. I have learned to be confident in everything you do, anything that you do you need to make sure it is perfect.

Execellent experience

I started to work as cashier ; then I got promoted to be till supervisor and cash office clerk.I got another promotion to be admin clerk.and n receiving stock

The real view of life in middle management at FLM

For developing in the retail management industry it's ok but for job retainment it's very poor. The company lags behind significantly versus the other big players in retail when it comes to management of both it's general staff and it's department managers. There is far too much about who did what rather than was the job done and done appropriately or not.

Pros: There is some room for promotion but it's very limited
Cons: Long hours are part and parcel of this company and there is no overtime

Exelent

In my company we do work as a team its just that every drive go out to deliver goods lonely which is something i dont have problem with,the challenge we get is working without a single day to rest only Christmas and new year and always tired and the management doest take it if some times u r sick

Pros: no opportunity at all
Cons: no single day for restin
