Maintaining good communication skills

a very good working environment within co-workers and customers,and enjoyed engaging and learning people with different personalities even there were some who were challenging but always got a way to overcome them,not forgetting that multi-tasking is always the key.

Gaining experience and excellent learning curve

I worked at Edgars for work experience and to learn more to work as part of a Team. Co-workers at Edgars made me feel welcome since my first day. I also built good relationships with customers because of the service I offer. At Edgars I learnt to have patience because and learnt that the customer's satisfaction is our main priority. The most challenging part of the job is customers that know what they want to say but it comes out the wrong way and the I have to build the sentence in order to help the customer in a professional manner. I've dealt with customers that are disabled, blind, old and young. Its just the hours that I work is long.

Excellent learning curve

I enjoyed working at Edgars as it gave me experience but when it comes to salary and the way management treated us I don't like it. As for employees we also have rights no one should have rights to talk to me the way they like. We should all corporate in the business so that we can give a best customer service to our customers

Being passionate about working with people

Working with people is one of the things I love about my job ., you get to relate with colleagues and customers and you also learn life lesson that you could never learn if you were not talking to people everyday.. I’m also updated by the latest fashion trends and nothing beats dressing a customer and making them feel good about themselves.. I always feel at home and can be myself and laugh with my customers and listen to their life experiences and their family values, different cultures and beliefs. Dealing with difficult customers taught me to calm down and also make them feel that they are heard and we always put them first.

Good leaning curve

It was ok ,working there but they can improve on the salaries and demanding working shifts.benefits must be included as well . Managers must start treating their stuff with respect .working conditions must be improved as well .air conditioner must be working well.and toilets must be cleaned up for the workers.

Excellent learning curve about dealing with customers and good communication

Team work and good communication Learning new things everyday I have learned that family is not about blood or surname related but you can have one anywhere, were we support each and work as team. I’ve learned that fights are not the best solution and to deal with that you need to calm and analyze the situation or problem. The challenge was the working hours and the salary

Excellent learning curve

We worked under alot of pressure in a fast paces industry. We followed policies and pressures just like other companies. We always work as a team in most tasks and that creates a good relationship among us as employees. I've learnt alot of things working there because I had a little experience of how to behave and be professional in a working place I learnt all that in that company. Providing excellent customer service is very vital and we all wanted to satisfy our customers and there were prizes to be won as a employee of the week that also lead us to do our job properly. The challenging is when customers orders online and when come to store to collect the item is not available.

Good experience

I worked at Edgar's as a retail associate it was a good experience ,csz I worked with different human beings helping them through their shopping and assisting in paying. Working hours where to much and very strained but its good to work for Edcon.Employees are good hungry for growth and always on point to grow the company.

Excellent Growth in different departments.

Working at Edgars has always been exceptional.The atmosphere is great and working as a team has always been a top priority. My relationship with my co-workers has been outstanding .since I have joined the cellular department we have made some great results in terms of sales. I have learnt a lot working at Edgars to mansion a few; Commercial awareness, Working under pressure , Working in a busy team,Time management and Problem-solving. I enjoy working with people and customers , they always have something to teach you. The most challenging aspects of my job is dealing with difficult customers. All in all I have enjoyed working at Edgars and am ready for growth.

Pros: Great incentive.
Cons: Working during public holidays.
