Job summary

family and casual environment where employees grow internally, both call centre and support areas a re in the same building. working hours are 08:30 - 17:00. good relationships with colleagues. Learnt to be tough and more assertive and enjoy the tem that I am working team. most challenging aspect of my job is that it is not properly understood

New Venture

The company I work at is a open door policy My work day is always busy and hectic always need to meet dead lines I have a moto my work is my work and I am always straight to the pint with co- workers I have learnt to do my work and meet dead lines I enjoy making my people happy and seeing them smile My challenging part of my job is to always have things sorted for the managers

Became wiser & knowledgeable

I love working and helping customers,it some how becomes challenging with irate customers and trying persue them to calm down and bring them to ease without them seeing you but allowing them to hear that in your voice makes it exceptional that our voic e have power . My colleagues are amazing,they craze I get along well and distant myself from negative one's. I knew nothing about a call centre but I can surely say it feels like ive gained 30years experience with they way calls flow. The challenging part is when I have no control over the customer's account especially when the account is no longer with our department getting that customer to understand that ,and also when a customer asks to be contacted as airtime runs out and no outdails are allowed and waiting to get that goe ahead to call the customer puts a person more at ease . Irate customers can be challenging untill empathy steps in.

Pros: Great opportunity to do courses
Cons: Not getting off or having leave apporved when needed the most, sometimes favoritism plays a role most people say its who you know .

My Journey

Currently work for a big corporate company,one of the biggest Direct Money lending Companies Nation wide. Grateful for all the great opportunities given by them but its now time to move on. I currently manage or oversee a department of 25 agents which is made up of 25 associates,half being sales agents and the other being admin or back office staff. responsible for sales applications and walking through from application to contract stage. My reason for wanting to leave is opportunity for growth,Current the companies attrition is low and staff stay for years of being in a comfort zone allowing less growth opportunities . I am in the market to grow and make the most of my career,I currently dont have that opportunity and now wanting to broaden my knowledge and career. I have a awesome relationship and stakeholders and partners ,honestly in a comfort zone and want to move forward . look forward to hearing from you Salim Dawood

Good company to work

For the past 3 years, i have learnt how to not only speak but interact with people that have various personalities . Making targets and just interacting with my team I have learnt that not every cleint ia easy to deal. I was taught how tp adapt to changes,etc , systems , product knowledge, new people and wih each of these experience i have taught myself how to change. Most difficulty situation that i have experienced , was not ones that has altered me in a way that i can make mention of.

Cons: shifting, leave not granted easily

Always looking for a challenge and ready to go the extrea mile

I have been working at Direct Axis for 11years and at Truworths for 6years I always like a challenge and try and meet all of them I try and meet my dead lines to the utmost Working with different personalities is one of the greater challengers

Excellent learning curve

Direct Axis has taught me very well because when i came there i didnt have any call centre experience,but they put me on a 3months training,i got to learn from the financial industry,how to communicate telephonically,online with the customers,i got experience from all of that,was well experienced with the computer,telephone,how to deal with customers behaivour.My workers were all friendly,including my Team leaders they were always helpful when you needed help,i enjoyed helping the customers and working with my collegues my challenges were we have to make targets per day so i couldnt reach my target,sometimes customers couldnt pick up their phones,sometimes we were changed from different skills,it would be difficult to reach your target.

Direct Axis is a company that prides itself in it's culture, it's values and their purpose and that is to give people the power to build better lives for themselves ,be it our customers or our employees. Working at DirectAxis for over 10 years has given me the tools to operate within call centre, where I have acquired some lasting relationships and insights into the financial services needs of our customers. There are so many opportunities and development careers at Direct Axis which appeals to our people working there. This company of forever changing trying to innovate itself to becoming the destination of choice for customers borrowing needs.

Pros: Growth, Development opportunities in terms of career pathing. Employee benefits.
Cons: Salaries is average, it could be improved on. DirectAxis is losing many of it's loyal employees due to salaries.

Excellent work environment

I love working at Direct axis changing skills everyone and then from being verifications agent to being customer service agent and quality assurer at the same time makes my job more exciting..and don't get bored by doing one thing over and over again...with the help and support of my team leader and co-worker we work very good together as a team..through all of this I have leant that understanding the power of working as a team makes everything easy...
