Hard and fast
Being a technology house, DD offers the ability to work from anywhere at anytime. The downside of that is that it's very difficult to switch off. It's demanding and the company's goals and objectives are very ambitious, which can be difficult for someone that can't hit the ground running. It is a very high pressure environment, but very mature with a positive culture.
Pros: Great exposure to global business with presence in multiple regions/countries
Cons: High pressure demands individuals delivering and proving their worth to the company on an ongoing basis

Not much room for promotion. Only men gets promoted.
Work level stays the same and men with equal experience gets promoted to directors. My work includes: Managing global legal work and global legal trade marks portfolio. Receiving reports from regional legal teams and resolving them. Drafting, vetting and negotating contracts. Assisting with dispute. First point of contact for Supply chain.

Excellent exposure to the corporate world
My daily tasks include completing tasks for users such as ordering parts for out of warranty machines or arranging for our field engineers to solve any technical related problems there may be at my client's (Nampak) sites. I also do reporting on all the sad feedback we receive from Nampak on our user survey system along with coordinating the resolve of any unresolved issues there may be related to the sad surveys. On a weekly basis I do a billing reconciliation based on the efforts/work hours accumulated on the client account for monthly billing purposes. I have an amazing relationship with my co-workers and I am able to ask them for help whenever. Everyday on the job I learn something new. I have also learnt how to tighten up my organisational skills and to think a little more out of the box. I loved doing problem-solving! I am a peoples pleaser so solving problems to make my client happy has been the best thing for me. I don't always feel like I'm being challenged to my fullest potential.

New skills gained
Dear Sir/Madam Working for my current company is more of innovative mindset, you have to be innovative and get involved in projects and be able to work within a team. There is more knowledge sharing and you can easily get assistance from other IT engineers . You can work remotely and you get to work with different technologies. I have learned that teamwork and self dedication can take you places. I enjoy work when i am working on projects that needs all my time and attention because i can to more innovative and productive since i will be thinking of how to get things done with 100% success and i get a chance to come up with solution to reduce workload by planning, testing and applying solutions. The most challenging thing i have ever come across was when i was working with semi skilled users, i had to give each user guidance on how the new system works and i had to learn something from them too Thank you

Been a great career at DD, but need after 10+ years it is time to look at other organisations.
My daily work involves managing project teams across the globe, that are all delivering IT projects into different regions and countries. Ensuring that all aspects of the delivery of these are tracking to the plan, and if not form an escalation point into the Execs. I am also an agile coach and mentor, so facilitate agile course within the organisation
Pros: results driven, team player, willing to roll up slevves and get work done

Qlikview, Power BI, SSRS. Tableau, Microsoft Stack
I have recently moved back from Europe after spending a year working on a project for Dimension Data. I was based in Prague in the Czech Republic. Previous to that I have worked for Dimension Data for 15 years, based at our head office in Gauteng. The recent 8 years has been in the BI reporting space. I was responsible for delivering reports and analysis for 8 different clients. Much of my responsibility was collecting the required information from different stakeholders, putting these requirements into production and presenting these reports to the stakeholders. I have gained extensive experience in Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, and Qlikview, In addition to this I have excellent excel, presentation and communication skills. I am a team player who gets on well with team members and stakeholders alike. I have a passion for analytics and client satisfaction, making sure I always place my clients in the centre of everything I do.
