Working at capitec has given me knowledge of not just the finance industry but the customer service satisfaction delivery aspects as well. Excellent learning curve

Longer working hours, a lot of work and there is a huge salary gap between managers and their assistants, there should be a review their salary structure

Client service,filling, admin work

where i am currently working its a different field from what i have studied for,but it has been an amazing year, i have attained a banking certificate which enables me to be a qualified sales consultant able to sell,best in client service, filling and admin work, writting reports,dealing with fruastrated clients and all different cases, i enjoy doing my job and always going an extra mile, i have the best team work ans good working relationship with my line manager.

Taught me to be patient

It's a great experience working for a growing company. It teaches one how to work within a team, how to treat clients. How to apply HEAT (Hear Empathize Acknowledged and Take action). The challenging part is having to explain in a patient way that what the client requires it cannot be done in that way they needed to be in. Overall it's a good company to work for.

Friendly work environment.

Being in a customer service environment has taught me to adapt to Changes in the work environment, familiarise myself with the ever changing system applications, the importance of confidentiality with client’s information and providing timeous feedback to clients as promised. My current duties and responsibilities include requesting FICA documents to ensure compliance. Performing document verification checks , authenticate clients telephonically via XDS for fraud prevention. I’ve also assist a Central Branch department where, in addition to scrutinising documents, my duties involved approving savings accounts and activating sms updates for new banking clients. No culture , leadership fucuses on petty things

Challenging having to deal with different people and their moods non performers are the ones who complain the most mangement unreasonable on setting targets monitors things that are not important

Pros: Close to home , good montly incentive
Cons: long shift , unworkable accounts , rude agents

Continuous

Our team consists of few people and there are many departments. I get on well with my colleagues and we work well as a team. I enjoy the fact that we are constantly busy throughout the day and the there is no fear of retrenchment as that is a reality in this country. The most challenging aspect is that you can work longer hours, you can work weekends but the incoming work is never complete. There are just not enough people for the amount of work the departments are dealing with on a daily basis.

Pros: Stability
Cons: work load never seems to come to an end. Staff not given incentives only small bonus (but always threatened to lose them)

Challenging environment

company policies are in place to oppress operations employees instead of creating a conducive atmosphere.there's no fair Employment equity ,where people would hold certain position based on education

Pros: Exposure to different client base,helps one polish or be effective on their communication skills
Cons: Working hours and work load don't justify the pay

Excellent customer service.

My experience alone speaks for itself. I have been moving in between departments but I have excellent in all of them meaning I adopt well to new environment.

Assistant Branch Manager in training

I normally run a branch alone when both my managers are away for a day or two. Handle all difficult clients and employees and attend to all client queries. Have an excellent working relationship with my employees and employers.
