Fantastic challenges and working with amazing people

I enjoy working at barloworld logistics. My co workers are passionate about their jobs and are a pleasure to work with. I enjoy the challenges. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn and develop. I am still on a learning curve there.

I deliver the best under any condition with excellent planning.

I deliver the best under any condition with excellent planning, organizing skill and manage to keep good performance and smart improvement for the team to achieve the required KPI’s, ability to work under pressure as I’ve learn a lot from the past eight years’ experience on warehouse distribution as part of management team.

Excellent learning curve

A typical working day is being on standby 24/7 with every second weekend off. As Fleet Manager I am expected to be available at all times, to solve problems etc and on the worst occasions having to attend to accident scenes. I interact with staff constantly and currently manage 2 admin staff, 6 Fleet Controllers and 48 drivers. I have learnt so much in my time here and my abillity to think on my feet and problem solve have increased exponentially. The most challenging aspect of the job is the hours currently, it remains difficult to be on standby constantly.

Good commications with co workers

I was a return receiving clerk ,receiving returns stock from stores and customers for different reasons report to the warehouse manager /supervisors, and learn from others, we were working as team.

Good place to work

Ensure that all staff are present at work (permanent and labour brokers) Ensure that Supervisors and data capturers are in one accord. Ensure yard management is functional ,for deliveries from suppliers Ensure inhouse transporter is available on site always(24hr) Ensure that Security is operational Ensure that cleaning company is operational. Relationship with co-workers is good Lessons learnt ,to understand people and operations Teamwork among the general staff and management To satisfy the client with the right stock ,at the right time and the right destination

operational-administration,receiving of stock,dispatch stock,inventory process and invoicing.every end of each day give feedback on the work done to superior and thread every employee with respect.i also learnt how to deal with issues,more as specially work related.i take every challenge as it comes and learn from it.
