Co-workers are helpful, friendly and can be disciplinary if and when necessary. I have gained knowledge in strategic sourcing, learnt about B-BBEE codes of practice, how to request for quotes& what to look for when comparing quotations. I enjoy sourcing for new suppliers for the company that are aligned to the organization's B-BBEE targets/ policies. I also enjoy learning something new about the company/ the job as a whole. I wish I had duties that were mentally stimulating.
Pros: Salary is not bad
Cons: Lack of structure.

Excellent learning curve
Have been working At Aspen as a loyal employee for 3 years. I have grown and learnt alot as a production pharmacy technician under high pressures. I was nominated as employee of the year accross the whole PE Aspen site for my good work ethics and attentiveness

Good divesrity, excellent learning area, good training opportunities and good growth opportunities.
On arrival, I have to use access card to get in and clock in at my department. I check my emails and respond to any that needs response. I liaise with my team, for previous day's work and for any new tasks. Relationship between me and the co-workers is very good. I've learnt a lot of problem solving especially as a supervisor to help analysts. I've also learnt a lot on Microsoft Office - used Excel for Monthly Reports and Word for typing spec sheets, reports and SOPs. Used Powerpoint for meetings and trianing slides, and also Outlook for e-mails. I enjoys problem solving, seeking information and helping colleagues when there is a problem. I enjoy a lot working on the computer. The most challenging aspect is to seek information on an old spec sheet which is not referenced to the Pharmacopoeias. Another challenge is to work with different social groups because I have to know how to respond and react to each one.

Great exposure and experience
With working at Aspen, I have learnt to love the great work ethics, a buzzing working environment with constant changes that will always challenge you. Aspen is one of the biggest suppliers of medication globally. Being a part of this team makes me feel good and fulfilled as I know I’m part of the bigger picture of helping sick people feel better. Learning new things, meeting deadlines and targets, coming up with great ideas to improve something and most importantly working well in a team. Throughout the years, it’s been proven that I have good customer communication skills with both internal and external customers. I create a good working relationship with the customer which in turn works out best for both the business and customer. Negotiating better rates with the suppliers which saved the company money. Getting goods from a supplier in record time for a conference.

Compliance and production at all times, due to the nature of the industry.
High pressure production enviroment and target driven, teamwork is what was happening and work accountability. Handling special project and troubleshooting is what I enjoyed about my work and also coaching young staff members and motivating them to perform. Review Title
My typical day at work at work involves planning of human resources including raw materials and consumables. I have to ensure that the production occurs according to the regulatory guidelines. I have t ensure that the staff is trained and is competent to perform thier task. I have a very good relationship with all my reportees including all my internal stakeholders. I have learnt a lot on the management of production staff and support departments in order to ensure that the objective of the business are achieved. I enjoy mostly developing and mentoring of staff in order to ensure that they realise theier potential. The most challenging aspect of my job is working production staff who are unionised and who dont have lot of trust to management and making them to understand that the company is not thier enemy and that they it is working for the benefit of both the company and organisation.
Pros: Opportunity to interact with many stakeholders and understand how they have to work in order for the company to achieve its objectives.
Cons: Lack of work life balance. Reactive management by company senior managment

Excellent learning curve
I like the team spirit of the team that I was working with in the past few months, they are very supportive and good at trying by all means to make us learn from one another to achieve great things for the company. The manager that we have in our department is so down to earth in a sense that he listen and accept the suggestions from the team and make use of them and that lead to a massive change on the targets and standards produced. I like working environment that I am working on.
