Excellent learning curve
ArcelorMittal is a good place the journey beginners. It has raw materials where reclaiming machines and stacking machines are being used with conjunction of conveyor belts. PLCs are there gas analyser and other instrumentation components are there. Here I am to tell that I have a knowledge of all the above mentioned stuff and many more. Cooperation between workers is super. I really enjoyed being with them. I'm still willing to learn more on my trade.
Pros: The company is consent about the safety. Production is what they're striving for
Cons: We work 12 hours a day with rotating shifts

Good communication skills, good interpersonal skills, good computer skills and good hands skills
*Everyday at work I enjoy working with different people attending morning meetings. *I have good communication with co-workers. *I learnt a lot how to plan job's and do maintenance at work. *I enjoy working, communicating, being friendly, developing and create and solve problems with my colleagues. *the most challenging aspect at work is to work under pressure, by working on breakdowns in order to not stop productivity.
Pros: I'm started working at arcelormittal Mittal newcastle South Africa on May 2016 till date. I started as apprentice fitter and become qualified as a mechanical fitter. During apprentice fitter I was working on Boilers, steam valves, gas valves, pumps, blowers, alternators, etc. As a qualified artisan I'm working most on conveyor belts. I do daily standing and running maintenance on maintaining such machinery.
Cons: Daily I work for 9,6hours and weekly I work for 45 hours.

Working as a technician
A dedicated, reliable Electrical Technician with integrity and a background in electrical systems on heavy industry plants from reference to actuators, and equipment maintenance for final product quality and throughput. Experienced in but not limited to, logic controllers, optical sensors, driving machines e.g. AC & DC motors with their associated drives and the different controlling configurations e.g. ‘closed-loop-control’. Possess faultfinding skills, developing and interpreting technical documents. Enjoy being part of a maintenance/production team, as well as good working relationship with end-users, and strives in managing and implementing projects for successful final product results.

Work day - Managerial morning meeting of production progress -Maintenance inspections on electrical and mechanical equipment -schedule maintenance task to be execute during shutdown -Follow up with rotable spare with vendor on SAP Relation ships - Engage with Artisan and contractor on daily basis, about possible improvements Learn - Fault finding on electrial motors and control circuits etc - installation of compressors and execuator valve replacement -Hydraulic and Pneumatic - Interpretation of mechanical and electrical drawings

I worked earth moving equipmemt and loccomotives
I learn how to rebuild loccomotive and do maintanace on earth moving equipment like hell dump trucks and hyno trucks a dosen front end loaders and Bob cats and work horses and fork lifts

Great interpersonal skills on faultfinding
awhen we got a break aWell when we got a breweakdown we work as team, for more efficiency.my collegues are young as myself so communication is great among us.Most challenging part I would say is when you do standby and get multiple calls at a time you have prioties the most important one not to keep the plant standing. I enjoy the program and wish I could learn more and

Millwright
Qualified Millwright who is flexible, reliable and able to manage multiple priorities at the same time. One of my strongest points is myself motivation which allows me to do well under pressure and against aggressive deadlines in any pressurized environment. Being a highly analytical thinker i am able to quickly identify, prevent, improve and streamline complex work processes
